Question Teach a man to fish...

I have the piggviewer, but how do I actually edit a texture once I've extracted it? I'm trying to replace an emblem with the one here, but it's not making it easy for me.

Or if you could just do it for me, that wouldn't be so bad either. Though honestly, I'd rather be able to do my own simple mods instead of asking someone else to do it for me.

Thanks, Gollum. I've been looking all over for that. How do you pull up old topics?

No idea. I did a search for Mod Tutorial, and found the link in a "Action figures painting" thread. Go figure. Hope it helps.

Anyway, I tried to do it without the graphics converter and came up with this:

Erm, if it helps, try using my tutorial, and some of the posts below.

Okay I downloaded a .DDS editor and converter from the internet, and here's what I've been doing:
1. Extract Emblem_M as a bitmap with the piggviewer.
2. Open Emblem_M with the .DDS editor and replace it with my own emblem.
3. Save the new emblem as a .DDS.
4. Use piggviewer to turn the .DDS into a texture in the data folder.

Here's what happens:
I load CoH and as soon as I load Emblem_M onto a character, all character textures go invisible.

I've been through all the tutorials and nothing seems to clear the confusion.

Would somebody just do this for me? I give up.
