The Naruto was my first manga strip I followed, now I'm hooked.

So far I've only read parts of Death Note as well and damn are these Manga filled with intelligence compared to regular hero comics. Though some still have plenty of action the two I've read so far have so much strategy and planning in'em and what's more is they are also made into anime to be viewed along with'em.

As I said, I'm new to manga and it's great, just thought I'd share. Any other good mangas I should read/watch once this is finished? I've noticed quite a number of Naruto pics in avatars/sigs on these forums already so perhaps some of you can suggest some others for me to look at? Maybe other sites as well?

Not a single resemblance of the two MM. Blood, violence, language, suggesting sexual orientation. Even though it uses early teens for the first years of the show it only holds back when edited to certain countries, you should watch the original japanese subbed versions, they're also years ahead of the english ones too. And now they're had a 3 year bump in the age of the characters advancing it kinda like Dragonball did though not as much, just enough to give a boost in abilities and raise the maturity of the show I guess. First few episodes though it does look like a kiddie show, especially if you watch the english version. Until I saw the japanese ones on YouTube I thought the show sucked, though the manga helps as there's even less censoring.

Oh, you poor person, you've been watching the stupid dubbed version? Quickly! Get the words "Believe it" out of your head and watch the Japanese subbed version on youtube!

I dont think watching 2 people fight, while having the people watching the fight do commentary on the fight, while the fighters do commentary on the fight, and then fill about 10 episodes of that in a row. Its like DBZ all over again, treats the viewers like idiots cause they wont "Understand" Whats going on. And can we please get 5 minutes of the show without the word Jutsu. Reminds me of the reasons I hate Scryed.

And I read the manga, wasnt impressed, just followed the same old crappy formula of "Characters in a school that in the real world that school wouldnt exist." OH! Lets Have the characters take a test and show the intricit details as to what they had to do to pass said test while they are taking that test! PFFT.

I was into Anime before it became more Mainstream(in America) and the Market started getting flooded with crap. very few new anime I actually like due to this. I love the old school stuff though. You never see Ranma and Ryoga stop in mid fight to talk about what they just did, you just get them badmouthing each other before they kick each others ass.

From what you said, it sounds like your still only watching the stupid english version, you can watch the later episodes in Japanese with subtitles, it is much better, like I already said...

Eh, Naruto's not for everybody. Hell, the Shonen genre in general isn't for everybody.

Me, I like Naruto, but I wouldn't call it one of my favorites or anything. I prefer the manga though, because the voice acting can get a little annoying on that show (in either language.)
