The Z Games and The Trial of Mr. Z - City of Heroes Forums

Alright, got a couple of events planned for you all and wanted to hear some feedback for them.

Some of you know that I cancelled my account yesterday, and when it times out I'll be taking a short break from CoX World. Not that the party stops for the USS in my absence, you know have Mr. Z to look foward to! (With TopHat's consent of course) and I'll still techincally be around anyway, just not ingame. (Got some RL stuff to take care of and sort out and a Meetup to conduct and such, blah blah blah..)

Anyway, what I have planned in the next few weeks..

- First of all, I want to get the US Aggressor storyline over and done with. I'll be going outta town this weekend, but Next week can be the week we finally bury the hackett on his ordeal. (Whether he dies or escapes is up to you.) There will be a final confrontation with him, hopefully on USS Day next week. (Wednesday of Next Week)

- Second, To do the Katie Hannon TF, hopefully. If we don't get it done..it's cool if so yea cool we got it done. Friday, Saturday, Sunday are good days for me. Hell Thursday can even work if we must. Let's get that outta the way if you guys are really up to it.

- Third, Recruitment to keep activity levels up. IF you know someone you think would like to join our collective, then please point them in our direction. I"m working on something to incorperate them in (hint it involves the Z Games in the title). I'll love to have new blood on board.

Now on to the titles of the thread..

- The Z Games - What are they? The Z games will be the first step into the finale of our story. (not saying our story ends soon, even beyond 50, this will begin to make storylines unravel) I want to be conducted like a Battle Arena style Tournament (think Urban Bushido Tourneys, without the restrictions of archetypes) and I want to open it up to the General Public. Both Guru and Main Boards alike (once I get our synopsis thread posted for the mainboards, had a couple of questions about who USS is when we were nominated on the Virtue Awards.)

- The Tourney is a calling to all Heros and 'some' Villains to get a contracted agreement with Z and his USS organization. Depending on Interest, 4 luckly individuals will get the chance to be assimilated into the United Sanction Society as well as a large lump sum of influence and SO's for their troubles. Parcipants will be divided into teams of 2 and they'll go head to head amongst the others involved. I plan to have a Free for All 2 on 2 on 2 etc matches and even 2 on 1 for those that feel like they don't need teammates.

USS members are required to partake in this, because even some of their jobs will be on the line, if they don't peform well, or up to Z's standards. Whichever that maybe.

Expect 2 old storylines to be generated at the start of this ....
- What Happened To Vanessa Thompson Barclay?
- And Who Killed Dr. Flamestryke?

Among other things that secrets are being kept among the members of the USS. Like who will betray the group? Yea there will be a prime suspect revealed during this time, and he or she will become alienated among the group.

Level Requirements? - Will be revealed in time, but I'm thinking no higher than 40 and no lower than 20. To keep it semi fair and controlled.

The Trials of Mr. Z...

The trials of Mr. Z will include a Manhunt and a Trial scenairo of a well known hero or villain that is accused of Killing Dr. Flamestryke and I think what happened to Anglican's parents.. Also anything else I can think of at the time too. (Like the scenairo with Psy and Sonic).

Not too many details more to go on that..

But During the Z games or before the Z games...(Right before) Someone will 'Die'.

Back to the Villains joining in the Z games, because they can't just jump into the world of Heros, I can reward them in various ways and I want some villains in the mix because they can make for interesting storylines if they just so happen to be succesful and fall into the Favor of Z and his Organization. But obiviously they can't be members of the USS or can they?

Yea I know that is a bit much to intake, but it's something I've been sitting on for a while. So I'm looking to kick off the Z Games in August and it'll be a 2 week process.

I'd love to take part in this, but August is when school starts up for me again so I might miss some of it depending on what times the events start.

Thursday or Friday are good for me for the TF. If Friday, the earlier the better.

I'd like to sign up for the tourney. I have a villain and a hero I'd like to enter. If space is limited I'll just use one of them though.

Mr. Mud's definately in for this, and at SK's request I'm going to respec Charon and see what I can make out of the current SS/Invul build before I re-roll him into scrapperdom this summer.

So, this tourney will probably be the last you'll see of the current Charon.

I have a wedding this weekend, But I should be able to do what ever is needed after that. (with Donner or Jon's imminent demise)

And Charon, you should do like I did with SuperAmerican with your respec. I wanted him to be just like a "slightly enhanced" human, so my attacks are all, 1 Acc, 1 End Red, 1 recharge, 3 damage. He doesn't hit as hard, but he actually puts out more damage because he never wears out and his attacks all recharge fast.
I dropped Re En and El and slotted Tough hide. My one concession is Hurl for flyers (I figure he's still that strong at least) It works pretty good.

Hmm, I'll have to think about whether Aggressor should die or escape...

I can do the TF next Friday after 8pm and anytime next Saturday and Sunday

I like the idea of the Z games, should be fun

A certain red and black clad blade wielding villain will certainly be a part of this trial and manhunt

Not sure just yet who i'll enter into the tournament though.

Well with my move I'm going to be going offline for a few days next week. I can't have DSL (if I'm lucky and the phone company cooperates) till the 29th or even after the 4th of july.

My daylight playtimes end on thursday till I move out of hell. Hope to be all moved in within three weeks.

Then I can play when I want! SK when does your account time out?

Also what dates were you thinking of for this tournement?

Still going through with that idea we've discussed or is it scrapped?

but I am here nonetheless...any of my toons you require services from are at your disposal...

maybe Raven Heart could betray Coyote Storm in some way...or Gwen..oh wait SK is not part of the USS

anywho...I will keep tabs on this thread, let me know if you need me. Im at your service and I love your ideas...

Gwen will totally be up for the tourney, Im respecing her at some point this week...so she will primed, oiled up and ready!
