Respec help (Big problem with Pools, Mostly)
Ok, currently have an Illusion/FF controller. Im thinking about using this respec I have kicking around to make some improvements. I want to make sure I have enough room to take an Epic Power Pool, if I can, when it opens. I figure that should add a little bit more offensive depth to the character. The problem is, I find that I cant seem to work without Hasten, the controller powers just dont respawn fast enough without Hasten, I spend too much time waiting for powers to come back (Blind is slow as hell, and Flash is only useful in a pinch).
Mostly I have the core powers set, for reasons loyal to the character I refrained from taking Spectral Wounds. Everything else is pretty standard. Pools I took are Flight for travel (Hover, Fly, obviously), Speed (Hasten, I cant figure out how to survive without it), That leaves open pool slots, yes? I keep hearing that no hero can survive without Fitness, but I dont seem to have that problem (I dont burn enough End for it to be an issue, and with Invis up from Illusion I dont get touched). Is Fitness indeed not needed? The last pool I'd like to take the Psionic epic pool for a little offensive power (other than pets, lack of control over them makes it hard to rely on them).
I've thought about Medicine if I dont need Fitness.
Can I get some Guru opinions on this matter?
-Sincerely,
Confused

I'm ILL/EMP and the only reason I don't have fitness is because I took Conserve Power from the EPP's and I have RA that I cast on myself
I definatly need hasten because without it The PA and RA/CP recharge is just way too long to be non situational.
As far as stamina goes, your problary going to want it, if I wasn't /emp i'd definatly get it. I use Spectral Terror as a ranged aoe hold and use it alot more then flash with the recent changes to flash. I find that Running Superior while summoning my Phantasm, then my Phantom Army, and then my Spectral Terror runs me dry.
Also remember if your planning on taking the Poi pool for extra offensive power, that means your going to be burning a ton more end then you are now, so keep that in mind i guess.
Yay for scatterbrain posts lol. I hope that was coherent atleast a bit

I have Ill/FF as well. I would definitely take Fitness. I have heard of some other Ill Controllers who do not as well, but when you are firing off powers in battle in addition to your summons, then add in toggles for Invis and Mind over Body you will drain end quickly. I do not use hasten, I slot for recharges on all my powers and seem to be fine. I would also consider ditching flight and taking superjump so you can get acrobatics. Resistance to holds is so great and at the higher levels you will be encountering alot of holds.
Of course, if this is a concept build then throw out any suggestions and go with what you like. It is all about having fun after all.

since you guys are all Ill, I thought I would ask here. Is Superior Invis needed?
Right now I have group invis and wasnt planning on taking superior invis figuring I could just use the group along with everyone else.
Is my logic flawed?
okay so I guess it's kind of two questions.

Superior Invisibility is just that, Superior. It is alot like Hide that the stalkers get and ,correct me if I am worng, you are undetectable by Arachnos drones. I run Superior all the time for the defense bonus in addition to the invisibility. Group Invisibility wears off after some time and if you are in a bad spot, you are dead.

well, even with just group invis I've walked past arachnos drones undetected, but your right. When it wears off I'm usually in a spot that I wish it wouldn't have
Thanks for the response, I think I will be taking it with this respec.

Glad I could help. Personally I am a Ice Controller dude, but I have enjoyed playing Illusion as well.
