Default Logan's Art

Some people complimented me very nicely on my avatar, so I thought you might be interested in seeing the full-size image to start off with. This was a version of this character that was in a Champions game a few years ago.

I couldn't duplicate that look exactly with COH of course. So I took a few liberties and came up with the following.

I couldn't get black gloves with white cuffs, and while I could approximate the "double button up the front" in a way with the leather top, it's not a jacket. And I needed something to seperate it from the bottom, so I made the white belt. This also helps because, although I thought of using the cargo pant thighs to match the multiple pockets on the original, it just really didn't look as good. So the tactical belt is where she keeps stuff rather than pockets. The shoulder pads were a pretty darn good match, all things considered. And the armored boots were damn near perfect. Face #7 works best, and REALLY works good now that we can tweak the proportions. I was tempted to go with the longest hair option, but this style has the forelocks in front that give her more of that "anime" hairstyle.

Looks really good, man. Nicely done!

If you've got more work, then we'd all love to see it.

And if you don't have more work and would like some, then we'd all love to request some!

... including myself. ... :noteme:

How about something seriously old school? Believe it or not, this was the character idea Lora was originally based on. From an anime called Blue Sonnet. This is the title character. Sonnet herself was a superpowered cyborg AND a high powered esper. So imagine someone with physical abilities like Battle Angel Alita, but also abilities like being able to lift a tank with telekinesis or throw up a kinetic shield. Talk about a diverse powerset!

And now for something completely different...

Anybody remember Starblazers? If so, then you'll remember that incredible villain Desslok. One thing I noticed one time upon watching a marathon session of Starblazers with some friends, is that he always, and I mean, ALWAYS, has a breeze to billow his magnificent cape out at just the right moment. Even if he's standing on the deck of his ship IN SPACE. I also noticed that his cape clasp looked rather like a dial... and so, I present the following bit of silliness.

Loving the Starblazers take. Someone definately knows a bit about some anime. Personal faves, out of curiousity? (although battle angel alita seems like a shoe in)

Here's one of a more recent vintage.

Her name is Shion Nys, and if you're interested in knowing more about her and her character, she figures prominently in Mike Surbrook's Kazei 5. Also check out the Kazei 5 PBEM game, linked at the bottom. She appears frequently in the posted game turns/stories there.
