The Concrete Gurus formed before Beta on the original CoH forums. We are still going and having fun nightly. We are actively recruiting and always looking for players who want to have fun and roleplay a little. We have all the amenities (teamspeak, an HQ, forums, a gallery, website) as well as a CoV presence- the Tarterus Renegades.

My New Year's resolutionw as to spend more time here at CoHGuru. So here i am at my SG's thread. Heyo all.

The Gurus are going stronger than ever with a few classic team members back from hiatus and a few more memebers entering the 50 club. If you are on Guardian as heroes or villains (look for the tarterus Renegades), look us up.

Just checking back in here at CoH Guru.

Our SG is still growing its main team and a few specialty teams from our player base, and maintaining its top 100 status on Guardian. We are looking for more players to see if we can expand our community.

We are currently starting an Auxiliary team to handle affiliated alts of the Concrete Gurus, and looking for members to join our patriotic themed hero team the Sons of Liberty II (PM Fantasmo here if interested, or talk to me) and our classic era sci-fi defenders, the Sentries (PM Empyrial/Gaia/Kida or talk to me).

Both have requirments for concept or costume, but look great when they are out and about fighting crime. Also much more RP oriented. Keep on rockin gang.

The recruiting threads all seem a little empty or slow for one reason or another, CD.

I really just want to remind the fine folks of CoHGuru about their friends on Guardian. When you recruit by grass-roots networking, not yelling at everyone in Atlas Park, you gotta leave the word out. So here we are. ;-)

The Concrete Gurus are coming up on some major milestones and have decided to celebrate with some bigger events thatn usual. We're going to start an annual event and another that should take us through 2008.

First Annual Spring Street Sweep (sponsored by the Concrete Gurus)on Guardian

Help the Concrete Gurus end all crime in Paragon City's Atlas Park on Tuesday March 20, 2007 at 10PM EST. We need every available hero to try and stomp out every mob in Atlas. Meet at Ms. Liberty and spread out to bring a moments peace to all the citizenry of Paragon City. A costume contest will follow under the statue of Atlas with 4 prizes from 100-500K Influence. Hosted by Unknown Soldier.

Wings Over Paragon (sponsored by the Concrete Gurus and Guardian Angels) on Guardian

Bring your winged and flight capable hero to Wings Over Paragon and we will have a flying parade across the zone. The flight path will be announced prior to start. Winged characters are eligible for a 500K Influence prize for Best Costume and Best Biography. Hosted by Black Raptor, this will be an ongoing event with future dates listed below:

To commemorate 3 years of guardianship in Paragon City, the Concrete Gurus will be hosting a number of events in Atlas Park during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of May, as well as our monthly Wings Over Paragon event on the last Thursday of May. Watch for nightly costume and Bio contests for Influence and Enhancements. Be ready for "Where's Unknown Soldier?" hunts for Influence. For one hour (10-11PM est) on Tuesday the 15th and Tuesday the 22nd there will be Gurus at each store in Steel Canyon buying every hero who comes in one enhancement of their choice. AND join us Friday, May 18th for our 3rd Anniversary party at 10PM est in our partied out HQ. In case anyone missed it, the Concrete Gurus are still going strong on Guardian, and are even branching out a bit onto Virtue with a Gurus team, and a few of us have joined the Knights' 2nd Battalion. We'll be seeing you around. ;-)
