I've seen it twice now, and it's just as awesome the 2nd time!
For the after credit scene, note how Banner is, but also note how Stark subtly backs away from Banner, in case he let's go.
Also, spoilers, but possible conspiracy theory:
Spoiler!
So Agent Coulson is killed, BUT! There are rumors spreading that he could be resurrected as the Vision. Which sounds wonky, BUT, the Vision was based off the original Human Torch, which had a quick cameo in Captain America. Also, after Coulson dies, Nick Fury states he's 'Lost my one good eye'. Eye...Vision..., huh? Huh???!!!
Clark Gregg, the Actor who plays Coulson also said he signed up for 'like 6 I think' films. So far he's only been in Iron Man 1, 2, Thor, and Avengers, which leaves 2 more, Avengers 2 and 3 maybe? He also said Whedon told him he wouldn't be killed off, but I think it's pretty definitive from the scene that he does, at least for a little while. And I know, he was in 2 little shorts between Thor and Iron Man 2, but let's hope he's not counting those.
So, wishful thinking I know, but so was the hope that they could actually pull off essentially 5 movies in the same series, culminating in something as epic as the Avengers, and they actually did it! Avengers 2! The Vision!, epic!!!
They mention a cellist 3 times during the movie that he's seeing, and the internet is teeming with rumors that the Scarlet Witch was a cellist, I'm just finding it hard to believe that they've achieved this much and there's still more epicness to tap. Waiting for the Kilmer/Clooney/Schumacher moment to hit..., I don't want it to, but it is Hollywood, and Disney..., hopefully $1 billion buys enough bodyguards Whedon to be left to write and direct the next one too.
Saw it last Friday... f***ing awesome. That is all.
My tiny complaint is
Spoiler!
the whole "hit hard on the head" thing. The super advanced technology can completely change your personality, but to fix it just whack them in the head. Still... tiny complaint in what is a totally kick ass movie.
Plus... f***ing Thanos! I can't wait to see how he comes out and what his next plot will be. I liked the little "court Death itself" line at the end. A little wink to the fans.
Closest thing to a perfect super hero movie ever made. I loved getting to see them working together, like
Spoiler!
when Iron Man was bouncing his beam off of Cap's shield to redirect it, and also seeing Cap come out as a leader.
Marvel studios has been putting out such quality movies, THIS is why I wish they would get back the full rights to Spider-Man and the X-Men. This is the kind of movie I would love to see the X-men get, and I would love to see Spider-Man brought into the Avengers franchise. The relationship with Stark and Banner was great, I could just imagine a young Peter Parker trying to fit in with the other great minds of the team.
