Those images have been around and speculated about for as long as Cryptic Studios revamped their website 2 or 3 years ago and we still don't have any solid info about them. General consensus seems to be cthulu or Old Gods or some kind on the first one, but the two aren't necessarily connected.

Agreed with Raz.

Funcom is making a "mystery MMO" in much the same vein; been a few years in development. Lots of viral campaigning. Pretty interesting. There was even a thread somewheres on this board on how to get into Beta, but I don't think Beta is out yet...I haven't heard hide-nor-hair about it or anyone else in it (unless said scary monsters came and ate them).

Cryptic is also being a bit hush-hush on this for the same reasons; to generate interest, but it's been awhile and no new info. I think they are too busy concentrating on CO and STO atm.

There are only clues and pics of both these games. No real speculation on exactly how they would operate (UI, HUD, etc.). No classes. No time frame it may be set in (although I think both are modern). No nothing. The puzzle solving to get into the one for Funcom's beta had me concerned that the puzzles may just be too darned hard without having a handy/open web-browser to google up info.
