Some info here regarding EA's "Origin" and it connection to SW:TOR :
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=343383
Basically, "Origin" is just a place to order games digitally (and non-digitally via shipping) and is not required to launch/play SW:TOR. It also does not update patches through "Origin".
So, you can safely not install it and just forget it.
Also in the thread, it seems you get a pre-order code for ordering (early access?) and with that, that's all you need, plus 4 people, to get your Guild established in-game.

Good to hear. I'll still be buying a physical copy if I buy it all. My balls EA, lick them.

I plan on playing both sides and probably will spread myself out, so let's get on that Imperial-Sith-Evil-Pie-with-cake-Guru-Guild-thingie!

If I get SWTOR I'm playing a Bounty Hunter and fulfilling my childhood dreams of being Boba Fett/Bossk (possibly Dengar). So yes, I suggest evil Guru guild.

Lemme know what the name of the Sith Guru guild is so when Phase 2: Allignment rolls out, I can get Outer Haven/Rogue Haven to allign both Nova Faction and *insert sith guru name here* as its Ally/Adversary respectivily... that way when Phase 3: Deployment rolls out, we can remain on the same server across the 4 guilds.

After reading this, not sure how much I'll actually be playing with other people. Probably join in a group or two when I run out of story missions. Still be good to have gurus around.

Weaker classes having a hard time could use the help. And you still get your personal light/dark points for your decisions, no matter how the convo/outcome roll turns out.
Company and chat is always nice, if you team or not. With some classes, you may not need the company, but it depends how you feel at the time. Having the option available is cool, imo.
