Rolly-Polly Deathmatch #1: Battle of the Undead
Well, we have a poll section. We might as well use it.
Yeah, we've seen this schtick everywhere from Gamespy to Grudge Match, so why not? Two men/women/monsters/whatever enter, one leaves. And though the poll determines the victor (after about two weeks), your explanations in these chatty little posts are half the battle as well. So put your useless knowledge to use! If you have a pretty solid reason why Frankenstein's Monster would hand Cloud Strife his own ass, throw it out there! You might just persuade more prospective supporters to flock under Frank's banner that way.
So without further ado, the two combatants squaring off in this maiden voyage of the Rolly-Polly Deathmatch:
Combatant One:
Count Dracula
This time-honored Transylvanian warlord reigns as the Lord of Vampires. Cursed to walk the earth forever for his sins against God and man, he subsists on the blood of the living and wields a frightening arsenal of supernatural powers. He's curiously obsessed with finding a special woman who resembles his long-dead wife, proving that even the undead have trouble letting go of their exes.
Combatant Two:
The Headless Horseman
A bloodthirsty Hessian mercenary went up against the Colonial Army back in the American Revolution and quite literally lost his head somehow. But even death wasn't enough to keep this bad boy down, so after doing time in Hell, the Horseman came back to find his lost head and show the good people of Sleepy Hollow that he means business.
The poll is YOURS!

Count Dracula can create an endless army of sexy minions to do his bidding.

Time to chum the waters....
Yes, I voted. And as much as I dig the Dracster, I had to give it up for my man, Double-H. Why? One simple reason:
Decapitation kills vampires, too.
The Horseman might encounter difficulty hacking through Dracula's loyal army of fly-eating lunatics and sexy vampires, but the Horseman's a revenant, a fleshy ghost. How hard is it to kill that? Short of giving the Horseman back his head, how can one defeat something like that?
And if there's one thing that this unholy Horseman is really, really good at, it's taking people off at the neck. No matter what. You could be wearing a steel gorget while getting tossed around in a wind tunnel in deep space, and boom! He'd still do a ride-by chopping and lop off your head. The moment Dracula comes outside to hang around under a hot babe's window and moan her name while she's sleeping, he'll be trying to call her with a hole in his neck stump where his larynx used to be.
So there. Next?

But I bet Horsey can decapitate all 200 of Dracula's brides, too.

I have to go with the Headless Horseman. Both Drack the the horseman will stay away from the bridges. So what can Drac do to him? Not a hole lot. No mind gaze, no sweet talking him, nother but chuck things at him. Sure Drac has people who work for him. Maybe wolfman or something, but the horse, and the horseman are just going to run him down. Because Drac has to be sold to fight.
So i vote the horseman. I always thought he was more bad ass. And Drac is a rapist. You can't vote for a rapist.

Yeah, the horseman all the way.
Dracula: Look into my eyes!
Horseman: Pfft, no head. Your tricks can't work on me! *chop*

On the other hand (playing my own Devil's Advocate here)....
We probably shouldn't forget that Dracula is a pretty handy swordsman in his own right. Even back in his living days, he made a living dismembering Turks and impaling the wusses who surrendered on bloody huge stakes while enjoying his breakfast, just because he's hardcore like that. If his mind-influencing, shapeshifting, hard-to-kill supernatural abilities fail him, he can always grab a trusty blade and start hacking off limbs, quite possibly starting with that infernal horse's legs.

On the contrary, the only convenient way for Dracula to cross a creek would be by a bridge. But you do bring up another good point: consecrated ground. Dracula can enter churchyards, the Horseman can't. Surely Drac can play that to his advantage somehow.

What if he rapes horsemen? And their horses?

Hard to decapitate a man who can become a mist at will, or wolf, or a bat. Drac alone without the wild ass powers is a super strong knight with endless endurance. Oi.
And isn't it a stake through the heart, then cut off the head and bury it and burn the body to assure a vampire is dead?
I'm taking Drac

True enough, but two more nuggets to consider:
1) The Horseman might not be able to decapitate Dracula, supernatural head-chopping power or not. Dracula certainly cannot decapitate the Horseman.
2) The Horseman is a super strong mercenary with endless endurance. Dracula fought to defend his homeland from Turkish heathens, the Horseman fought to line his pockets with English gold. And the more the Horseman fought, the more he got paid. There lies the Horseman's incentive to become the more hardcore scrapper, right there: greed is an awesome motivator.

Only if you want to be absolutely certain that the vampire is dead. Abraham Van Helsing didn't need to go that far when he killed off Dracula's harem, did he?
