Default A less sucky Mr. Mud

Firstly, let me explain: Mr. Mud is my first ever level 50, a concept character, and has powersets that closely approximate how I'd like his powers to work. But it's not perfect and I play it a certain way: Granite is an 'oh shit' button, and when playing solo or in teams that don't demand I tank, I just run rock/rooted (and following this respec, tough/weave).

This is my attempt to make that concept suck less (because I used to think Mud was pretty great, and survivable; since IOing other characters, I've realised he isn't so great).

It is also my first attempt at making an IO build myself. So if it blows, I apologise. There wasn't much I could do outside of granite but give him capped S/L (I think, the numbers escape me) and something stupid like 410% regen.

I'm open to comments, criticism, etc. I did the best I could with my limited knowledge of this stuff, haha.

EDIT: Also, I tried to get as much recharge in as possible.

EDIT EDIT: And he has all of the villainside accolades, I just forgot to toggle them on in Mids.

So we're going to S/L softcap, and regen?

The build you've got seems pretty good in regards to that so far. I looked at it a few times but without gutting and reslotting from scratch, I don't know what I could offer you, nor could I guarantee that you'd like it any more than this current build.

45% defense is softcap for normal content, 57% for Incarnate raids. (I know the latter is irrelevant for you, just giving you marks to gauge) so I think I remember this build being at 39%? Not bad but you'll be getting hit 1 times out 10. If you get that extra 6% you'll be hit one times out of 20 if I recall the math correctly.

If you don't have Steadfast +3%, it should be in there. If you do enough villain missions for the V-merits, you could snag the Glad's +3% and be done. I'd throw both in Stone Skin and call it a day.

I realised my retarded memory of softcap mistake later, and moved some shit around to get over the S/L softcap without losing too many other bonuses. Xan thinks he can get more out of it, though, so I'm still waiting for him to get off his ass and post a tweaked version.

I'm sure it'll be good. Last crack I took at Stone Armor utterly sacktapped my endurance, though.
