CoH Splasher

So I realised today that I had to use the stupid NCLauncher to start the game. Which means that I'm unable to start the game through CoH Splasher, which I've been using since it came out.

Has anyone figured out how to get the Splasher to work with the Launcher? I'd really appreciate help with that, since I like my collection of random login screens.

Talked to Leandro a while back about this. Splasher project was more or less derailed, because they obfuscated or changed some code around issue 16 and made it unlikely he'd ever be able to continue his work in the same fashion.

I had used his splasher program to change the background a long time ago, though, and the updater never seems to check it, so even though I've copypasted the directory over the years and changed to the launcher, my background is still Meltman's Secret Santa wallpaper from like 4 years ago.

So whatever your backgrounds are right now, most of them will likely survive but never change again.

You can still use Splasher to change the login screens, but the randomizer won't work anymore. It looks like they have some new login screens in Freedom, though, so I don't know what will happen then.

All my modified billboards and graffiti don't seem to be going anywhere tho.

Yeah, the replacement graphics seem to be okay, since they're basically folders that overwrite the pigg file data once the game launches.
But it sucks not being able to randomise the login screen. I had so gotten used to it and have this wonderful collection of screens... Meh.
