I just heard about that too!
What do they expect us to do in the meantime?
I'm worried a year will be too much for me. It's already agonizing enough to wait an entire week...
But since there will be a fourth season, it means that they gave the go ahead to make the full feature movie as well (that was the condition under which they would make it).
Who knows, maybe they'll be done with it by this year and that's why the next season will start so late?
Oh and happy birthday. You're even older now. :p

AHHHHH!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
*pant, pant* Okay I'm allright now. But yeah that's messed up. I didn't hear about the feature film part, but I can live with the 2008 delay IF we get the movie beforehand.
Also, sci-fi did announce a BG spinoff last summer called Caprica, maybe the delay is so they can finally begin work on that.

10 fracking months! TEN!!!
Augh!
Well, rumors are that the movie (which will NOT be released in theaters, from what I understand) will be aired sometime in that ten month period, so at least we have that to look forward to.

I can deal with the Starbuck angle if she is back, but the other 4 being part of the 5....Noooo. If they go that route then I'm probably done.

Awesome, awesome Ep...but.
2008!!
...
Are you Frackin' kidding me!!
I have to wait *ten months* to get a new episode of BSG!
Who was the brainiac that decided that move?
I don't get why shows go on hiatus and then expect the fan base to wait around without losing interest.
LOST, Sopranos, Heroes, BSG. They've all started this trend and I for one don't care a bit for it.

Yeah, I both really like and really hate idea of those four being Cylons. On one hand, it might give Cylons more credibility in the eyes of the humans, since all these people were so faithful and contributed so much to the survival of the human race.
On the other hand, didn't some of them fight in the last war? As in, before Cylons even learned how to make skinjobs?

right. That would mean that they kidnapped and/or kill the original person and replaced them with a skinjob, just like all the others, when they did that, who knows.

Cylons are shiney metal bad guys.
"Skinjobs" ruin the fond memories of my childhood.
Nothing but hate for the new Battlestar Galactica.
Personally, they can put it off til 3008 for all I care.

So...does a skinjob involve growing a new skin for the Cylon or removing the skin from the subject to be mimicked?
But yeah...the shiny metal Cylons were intimidating in a Darth Vader way. I miss them. I don't miss Daggett the borg-dog thing though. It was kind of disturbing. :p

Stay out of our thread, then. Personally, I'm perfectly able to keep my fond childhood memories of a child-like show that I still love, and yet enjoy this fine peice of science fiction that is the new BSG. Can't handle it? Tough.
Here's my take. The 4 are, in fact, part of the final five. Remember, though, that the final five are fundimentally different from the other seven models. I believe that they will bridge the gap between human and cylon, and help bring about peace between the two by the end of the 4th season (also rumored to be the last). The season will end with them finding Earth.
Also, someone pointed out to me that the basestars were not firing upon jumping into the nebula, which is their normal procedure. My guess here is that they, too, ran into the power outage than the fleet ran into, and are down and out for a brief moment of time.

Sorry... I'll fix that.
Maybe I'll just make a post in the rant section.
