A New Way to be Kept Informed!
Welcome to the first of many newsletters from yours truly! I plan to send these out once a month at minimum to help keep people informed on what is going on in the Paragonian Knights. If you find you would like more or less information in these or a different format please feel free to contact me and I can adjust things to make it easier for you. Now on with the news!
Paragonian Knights have a new web address and look! Please change all your shortcuts and favorites from www.paragonian-knights.com to www.paragonianknights.com . We got rid of that crazy hyphen. In addition to this we have also changed the look and feel of the website and hope that you find it easier to navigate. I would like to thank Ms. Ann for all the hard work and time she put into the site. I would also encourage everyone to make additions to the site in the form of stories, artwork and news articles. If you see anything you would like to make different please contact Ms Ann or myself.
3 Groups in the Top 100 for prestige on Virtue! That is right the Paragonian Knights (25 million), the 2 nd Battalion (11 million) and The Rogue Knights (11 million) have all broken into the Top 100 and look to keep climbing. In addition to these, the Sisterhood is very close to breaking into the Top 100 as well! This is an incredible feat considering we have no prestige requirements. I want to thank you all for your hard work and dedication to make this possible.
New Senior Captains! Recently, we have promoted Mitch Koval and Nightarrow to the rank of Senior Captain in the Paragonian Knights. What this means is they will hold 2 nd tier rank in all SGs/VGs affiliated with the Knights. They will be responsible for setting up teams, task forces and making sure everything is running smoothly in-game and on the forums. These are two excellent Knights who will also be excellent Captains.
The Grae Academy has opened its doors! The PK has created a Heavy Role-Playing supergroup with the concept that it is a school funded by Grae Knight to train young heroes. The SG is run by Ledgerdemain. If you think you are up for the RP contact Ledger and see how we can include your character. Once Ledger finalizes the backstory for this group we will open the doors to the general population.
Our First 3 millionaires! Blood Wrath, Mitch Koval and Lilhan were our first three Knights to hit 1 million prestige! Way to go! All three have earned unique commissioned artwork. This contest is still open for all Knights hitting 1 million prestige, good luck!
Double XP Weekend January 26th thru 28th
If you have not heard, double xp weekend is back! Beginning at 11:59am est on the 26th thru 11:59 pm on the 28th all players will receive double xp, prestige and influence/infamy! Last time Cryptic did this there was a huge response from the player base! In addition to this FilePlanet is giving away free 14 day trials to CoH/CoV so if you have a friend wanting to try out the game..now is the time! Knights will be making every effort to form full SG teams this entire weekend so be vocal and let us know you are on! My own personal goal for the SG is to see the main PK SG break 30 million prestige this weekend! We can do it! Good luck and have fun everyone.
Two Years in City of Heroes
I had planned to hold a big celebration in-game but Double XP weekend fell on the same weekend so it kind of won out. It was nice of the developers to hold double xp weekend in honor of the PK. That is my story and I am sticking to it!
Over the last 2 years the PK has seen a lot of changes. From a small group who basically only teamed together to a multi-SG coalition that has seen upwards to a dozen teams running at once. I have to say I am very proud of what we have all created here. It is a SG that I can honestly call a group of friends. Some evenings I log in and just chat to you all. You have genuinely made my MMO experience more than I could have hoped for. City of Heroes may some day die out (*shudder*) but the PK will live on. This has been one incredible 2 year ride for me and I don't want it to end. So here is to 2 fantastic years and hopefully many more!
