Screen Shot Chat Bubbles

So I've seen some people have their chat bubbles in screen shots -- how? For in CoH, there are just some moments where remembering that funny thing that was just said speaks far more volumes than the picture itself.

You can also go under controls and bind a key for it. It will show all your windows so keep that in mind when taking the shot. Great for catching the char names/ID cards you run across.

Not that I am aware of. You'd have to close your target, nav, chat and tray manually before you take the screenie.

Actually, you should be able to. I'm pretty sure there are commands to close the various windows.

Yes, but it takes a little work.

In-game, press the "print screen" button. That takes a screenshot. Now then, that screenshot is in TWO locations; In the screenshots section of your CoH folder AND on your clipboard. The one in your CoH folder is has no windows or bubbles in it. The one on your clipboard has all the windows and bubbles.

Open your Photoshop(or whatever) and open the pic from your clipboard AND open the pic in your game folder. If you want the chat balloons, just use one of the lasso tools and copy the section of the pic you want from the clipboard pic and paste it onto the folder pic. Move it about until it matches. That is how I made this pic which only has the word balloon and not all the windows:

Keep in mind that your clipboard only holds one item at at time, so if you take a screenshot and then another(or you copy some text), the first will be lost and this method is kaput.

When I first started playing the game, the method Sally mentioned was the only way I knew to do it.

But I'd be interested if someone can come up with a keybind command line that would take away the windows and take a snapshot of the dialogue.

Human Tomato was MY creation. Greg took it over because we agreed to split Virtue evenly between us and I had 5 characters. I protested mightily to save HT so he became Greg's. Couple of months pass....... Greg has lost some interest in the game and I have deleted the riff and raff amongst my alts and voila! HT is mine again like he was originally.
