Director is a virtual studios guy. Same guy who did 300. It will be all about the writing, but if they can get Sin City, they can get Watchmen visually. Hell this cheap test shot could have been a panel from the books.

It's not the visuals, it's the whole story in all its details. At least Snyder wants to keep it in 1985 and not modernize it.
And that image is not from the movie, but a test shoot.
