Anyone else try the new demo for Command and Conquer 3 yet? I just got done with it, rather cool stuff.

Damn you! Now I'm all excited about getting home to download it. But alas, I probably won't have time to try it until tomorrow because I need to study...or do I?

It's not terribly long, typical first level stuff on how to build basic units, base bits, etc. However, they did a really nice job integrating the video and other elements into the game engine. You really do feel like a part of the command force. And the cutscenes I like very much. :)

So I download the installer and it unzips everything... and then it shuts itself off. And there's no sign of the actual game anywhere on my computer.

Played through the demo, a bit too fast-paced for my tastes, and the combat doesn't seem that deep. I think I'll stick to Supreme Commander ;)

Bah. And here I thought this was going to be a thread about this guy:

Ok, played the demo, although it wasshort, it was great play.

Sadly my rig only supporter the lowest grafical details, and the movies were running slower than the sounds. But the cutscenes were great.

Finally a game I might be waiting to get into my hands.

I'd love to give it a try if I could get the installer to... you know, actually install the demo.

Wasn't crazy about it. I loved C&C Generals, and this seems to have knocked out most of what I liked about that game and kept the elements I disliked from the original. I guess the sales are mostly supported by "purists" in that respect. Oh well.

Wasn't much for the Supreme Commander demo, either. Especially since my troops seem to always funnel one by one into the heart of the enemy's defenses. Doesn't matter how many soldiers you have if your own AI does that every time. I'm not one for the massive RTS' anyways, but you at least need to be able to move in formation when ordering your units around.
