No Galactus in Fantastic Four 2

Ian Gruffold said in an interview that Galactus is NOT in F42:ROTSS, but that the movie focus's on Silver Surfer and Dooms quest to get his Power and the F4 dealing with the Surfer's arrival to Earth. He did say that Fantastic FOur 3 has already been scripted so I guess Rise of Surfer and the third one are two parts, with Galactus in the third, but its gonna suck waiting another 2(Estimated) years for Galactus.

I mean, he wouldn't be a great herald if Galactus showed up a few hours later.

A group of friends and myself kind of had this pegged already about week or two ago. We figured the movie would revolve around Surfer and Doom trying to get the Power Cosmic, then in the last scene either:

A) Surfer comes out and says that Galactus is coming. Camera shows Big G's ship going through our solar system. Roll credits.

b)The last scene is the F4 standing in the climactic battle scene, the camera pans upward and Galactus' ship is shown in the sky. Roll credits.

Still looking forward to the movie.

Yeah I read that interview and thought "There's gonna be a lot of pissed off fanboys" unless they're throwing us a red herring.

Myself I'm anxiously awaiting this film. FF was my first exposure to Marvel Comics, so I'll always love them.

Thisn't surprising. Figured it would turn out like this and are honestly happy about it.

Don't want too much crammed into 1 movie that things end up being told too fast.

FF2 will most likely be about Surfer scouting earth for Galactus, and then falling in love with it and not wanting it to be destroyed. Doom will probably steal his power and it will later be returned to Surfer. Galactus will show at the end.

I just watched FF again. I still think it's a good movie, and I still wish they'd found someone besides Jessica Alba to play Sue. :grr:

She looks so much better in this new one. I've seen a couple of stills and her hair is longer so she does look a lot more like Sue now.

Acting ability okay, yeah that'll probably still be off. :chuckle:

Not for nothing, and I know this is an old argument from the original FF, but again, she's also a bit too... "tan" for Sue Storm.

Apparently, FF2's director has confirmed on his MySpace page that Galactus WILL be in the movie.
