So, I finally found a tanker power set I like, stone/stone. I've created a new character, Flag-Stone, and I am getting used to tanking. So far, I've taken the following powers:
Rock Armor
Stone Skin
Stone Fist
Stone Mallet
But, I'm begining to think I should have taken Earth's Embrace and Taunt, instead.
What do you all think?

Earth's Embrace, yes, Taunt, use the inherant punch-voke until you think you're much better than the squishies in taking damage to afford taking it. Otherwise you can still taunt using your melee attacks. In the mean time beef up your survival rate.

Get Taunt at lvl4. Just be carefull how you use it. It can easily draw more aggro than you know what to do with if you're on a big team. But without Taunt you're really just a second-rate scrapper without it.

Without the enhancements you ARE a second rate scrapper. My PB acts as a tank atm most of the time due to such a low level and other not having enough enhancements or good enhancements. This results in allot of dead tanks especially in the hallows where they haven'e elemental protection. And as a Stone Tanker, well, you have 5 shields to overcome before you can truely tank using taunt as using taunt will = ranged attacks that'll be mostly fire/ice with some energy/negative mixed in which is 2 slots after the brimstone. And since a stone uses defense, he doesn't get nearly as much tanking ability early levels as a resist tanker because those oranges and reds will surpass those generic enhancement defenses quite easily. So that's why imo don't take taunt until 12 when you can slot DOs and get additional defense or resist powers at which point your shields and earth's embrace should keep you alive enough from those high leveled enemies and ranged element/energy attacks. Played mine until 14, was fun and got a jolt in capability once the DOs were in. Though I didn't take taunt but instead took challenge at an early level so I could at least save 1 teammate once in a while with intentions of taking invoke panic by 22.

My Stone Tank took Taunt at 4 and I really like it, however, with Muddpots he usually does a good job of holding the aggro.

Mud Pots is a love/hate relationship. It protects you against melee damage but forces the enemies with elemental/energy ranged capabilities to fire from range and the bosses who have both e/e range/melee aren't snared anyways and still land powerful melee e/e blows. If you have sprint on and herd them into a bunch using a puller from your team then you can aggro them all and run circles around them (literally) and that should allow you to both keep most of the aggro while keeping about half of them from firing when they would be if you were standing still. The downside of course you're not attacking yourself and any other melee teammates will get annoyed with you very quickly, so if you're stuck with squishies only then you may want to try it. You'd also receive more melee blows from the minions, so it depends on your level and the amount of minions you can handle at that time.
