Modem Out

Just a few moments ago i lost connection on my main computer. On my Modem the "send" light is flashing. Before I call my ISP and go threw hours of needles BS, thought i might run this here. If I need to reinstall windows I'm going to be hot.


speaking of which. There are two versions of Windows loaded on my computer. As my system boots up I have to select one of the other. If I were to reinstall windows will that create a 3rd? Or will they delete them.

Why would you reinstall windows?
Connection can be fixed without such drastic extremes.

Well, you have to be more specific about what happened? is it not reading your modem? Does it see your hardware , but still can't connect? You elaborate first. :)

It's...just not connecting to the net. I have no idea why, lol.

Please feel free to list a few things I can do. :rolleyes:

I've tried the basics, unpluging the power cord to allow the modem to reboot, and unplugging the cable jack from the wall.

EDIT:
I did call my ISP already. A tech is coming out on Saturday. But if there's a way to get it back sooner...that make me very happy.
