Just saw this. A very haunting song. Plus a nice tribute.

Very nice little piece of work. I swear that man had more emotional depth and power then an entire generation of modern performers. There aren't many musicians, or even Christians, like him anymore.
Something tells me Johnny would have a few choice words reserved for our particular crop of so called "Christians."

Yeah, this is one of my favorites from him. Johnny is about 15% of my Ipod storage and the Revelation quote I use for the "official" boards is actually inspired by his reading at the start of it at the start of the "The Man Comes Around" its almost enough to give one faith.

Gotta say it again - this is a great video & a fitting tribute. I know the Man in Black influenced so many of today's musical types, but I just don't get why the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Travis Barker, et al are in this.
Sure, they might be hot items today, but they lack so much of the depth that made Johnny Cash the icon he is.
And by the way, Mike, as a Christian & a minister, I very much echo your thoughts.

Justin Timberlake lists Johnny Cash as one of his heroes. I don't listen to the boy, but just because he's a shallow pop star from a boy band now doesn't mean he can't respect the man. I also doesn't mean he won't grow into the role. He's certainly more then he was 10 years ago.
I can see where guys like Kanye and Travis could see Johnny as an Icon too, and want to pay tribute. I first saw Johnny live in 1973, my grandpa took me. Coolest man, maybe ever.
