Are they going to stay true to the popular culture version of Sherlock or the brilliant, but bipolar drug addict/detective of the books?

That being said, part of me would think Poe's C. Auguste Dupin would fit the whole Chutlhu mold better; I mean, when was the last time Sherlock had to face out against an orangutan?
