Dislikes: Whoever created The Lost, things he doesn't comprehend, and Attention/Fame.

Was "discovered" during a commercial shot, and recruited by a media advertising firm. Was supplied with a pair of electronic gloves and a helmet to enhance his powers many times over. Used his powers of illusion to decieve the media and criminals into thinking he was an unstoppable, Superman-esque powerhouse. While showboating in a hostage situation, he was shamed out of the business, and dropped by his benefactors. After losing his powers, he was drawn into a final battle with an old archnemesis The Hamburgalar. After the building they were in came down on top of them, Gatz ported himself out of danger at the last possible second. With the world thinking him dead, he set out to redem his past failing, and hitchiked his way to Paragon City.

His powers are natural. He developed them from years of meditation(he wasn't warrior training or any of that junk; he was raised Buddhist, and stayed that way.) His "kinetic" abilities are just another form of the illusion-making both sides believe that he did what he did. After the incident where he was dropped, he stopped meditating, and he lost his powers. Now that he's "exercising" his brain again, he's slowly getting his powers back, and this time without the enhancing junk.

Why do you think you and your char would fit into The Underground? The character would like to be part of a team where he isn't the cliche "quiet mean guy", and where the team is more focused on helping others rather than increasing their Q Rating. Me, well, I'd been a part of a few Supergroups, and none of them were really a click. The two Leaders were friends, and everybody else was just kind of there. If they were there at all.
Regular play times so as the team can group with you:
Somewhat sporatic, as my work schedule is all over the place, but you can definately see me on the weekends from early afternoon to late evening.

Emil Garousa was a mild-mannered research scientist's assistant from Needles, California. He worked at a laboratory that studied and extrapolated properties of various cactus species found in the desert.

One day while eating lunch, he went in search of some extra relish and wound up stuck inside the genetic acceleration chamber. With no one around to free him, he attempted to break the window that connected to the adjoining control room, but only succeeded in activating the proton ray. He absorbed a highly radioactive dose of mutated saguaro DNA.

His body began to photosynthesise, changing his natural skin color to green. He also discovered he had the ability to grow organic spines from his body, and he also no longer needed water to survive.

Ashamed and scared of what had happened to him, Emil escaped from the lab and fled into the desert. He lived there in seclusion for quite some time before deciding he needed to go someplace new and get a fresh start. Soon he found himself in Paragon City, eager to start his new life as the hero Cactus Man!

Why do you think you and your char would fit into The Underground? He's already acquainted with some of the members, and he's looking to join forces to affect change for the better in Paragon City.

Regular play times so as the team can group with you: Usually late night, after 10 pm CST or so, but occasionally earlier.

Tiffany Allen was always considered cold hearted as far back as anyone could remember. Some even suggested that she lacked the ability to feel any emotion. This "bad reputation" did not bother Tiffany, and, in fact, only helped her to do her job as a Lawyer in the DA's office. She was very efficient, and in her brief time out of school, several prominent criminals had been put in prison due to her cool, calculating courtroom style. There was little doubt amongst her peers that she would make DA herself one day. In fact, the only thing that confused people was why she worked in the DA's office, rather that in a private firm where she could make far more money. The truth of the matter was that Tiffany enjoyed putting criminals away, getting an almost sadistic thrill from battling wits with them and their lawyers. It is quite possibly the only emotion she has ever felt.

In November of 2004, not so long ago, an event happened to Tiffany that begins to explain why she is the way she is. She was leaving the office and heading to her car in an Atlas Park parking lot, when she was mugged by a group of Hellions. She raised her arm to defend herself, and several of the villains became surrounded by solid chunks of ice, frozen in place. The remainder of the gang fled, screaming about her being a "cape", the street word for those with superpowers. Though the event frightened Tiffany, a cold grin crept across her face at the sight of the frozen thugs. Justice was served, only in this case, outside of the courtroom.

She got into her car and looked in the mirror and she discovered a side effect of this newfound ability. Her hair had turned the color of ice blue. Intrigued to find out what was happening to her, she decided to visit her roots and find her mother, whom she hadn't spoken to since she moved out at 18. In her research she learned that her mother was currently committed at the local asylum, since shortly after her father had died, roughly 5 years ago. During visitors hours, she drove up to speak with her mother, and upon seeing the blue hair, an evil, wicked smile spread across her mother's face, one like that of the Crypt Keeper, and she cackled, "You have it too!"

Her mother began to explain. Tiffany received a mutant gene from her mother, who was a mutant. Tiffany's mother first discovered her powers when she was 25, and had a brief stint as a super villain known in these parts as the Ice Queen, a name that Tiffany recognized from her work putting away other villains. The blue hair seemed to be part of the powers, and her mother had taken to dying it to keep her identity secret. It was revealed in this explanation, that she was responsible for the death of Tiffany's father. The state of Rhode Island had her mother committed as a result of the sentencing from that trial.

Tiffany was shocked. Her mother was a super villain? Her father murdered by her own mother? And she herself is a mutant? This was a way too much to handle so soon. She ran out of the asylum and drove home, a barrage of emotions ran through her, crying the whole drive home. Back in Steel Canyon she stood on the Balcony of her penthouse apartment fuming at how everything she knew had changed in an instant. She screamed at the top of her lungs and an ice storm began, blanketing the building and anything below it with snow and ice. She cried herself to sleep that night, exhausted from everything that had just occurred. The next morning she did some thinking. The brief fight against the Hellions had given her the same thrill she received in court, putting the city's scumbags in their place. Maybe this was another way of doing the same thing, but on the front lines, as a registered hero. Keeping her identity, especially around the office, would not be an issue, her normal hair color was easy enough to duplicate. She designed her self a simple, but practical costume and took on the name of Miss Judgment in a vague allusion to her job in the DA's office. Criminals beware; Judgments are now going to be handed out around the clock.

Why do you think you and your char would fit into The Underground?
She's interested in maintaining her secret identity but wishes to join forces with an elite group of superheroes in Paragon City.

Regular play times so as the team can group with you: Schedule changes weekly, but often can be found roaming the streets between 4pm-11pm Eastern Time on nights I am around.

:write: I just spent the last few hours googling thru cashed threads for the write up the UG had on the original PCity boards. I found lots of interesting old posts but not the one I'm looking for. So I'll re-post the blurb I had written up on the Ogaming site.

For interested applicants.
We stress the fact that most of us need to team with an applicant in order to get to know a person and their char. We are interested in the person behind the char as well as the char itself and that is what we review when deciding on an invite. We are a team of friends and we have fun.
We also tend to require main chars only... but if the char is played often enough to be considered a main Alt, we may bend the rule. Maybe.

I would also like to add that we are not a team of dark brooding characters. We have members of diverse backgrounds. One of our common denominators is that we like to stay out of the limelight. (*stern glance at Twilight*) We go out, do our heroing job and then we go home. Our HQ is in the abandoned subway tunnels... NOT the Sewers!... cosy, dry and most importantly, a quiet place hidden away where we can relax.
Our motto says it all. Mismatched. Misunderstood. Mostly Good.

I just wanted to clarify things on what our group is about seeing as we've gotten several applications as of late. :cool: It's important for the SG to fit the character as it is for the character to fit the group.
