Me thinks that wouldn't be necessary. Though if any recall about a decade ago Mr. Lucas said if ep I-III "do well" he'd create eps VII-IX...

Then again, he's also said that after folks started complaining about certain things in 1-3 (jar jar, midichlorians) that he wouldn't do 7-9.

Agreed. I'd actually not mind seeing some of the books post-return of the jedi come to life, now if only I could remember the titles this post would make more sense....They were written by Timothy Zahn....that much I do remember, it was 3 books and they kicked total ass.....

If he ever dumps the rights, I'm sure some one would start cranking out more movies. Wether they are based on the books or Lucas idea and any good who knows.
This how ever sounds like a dumb idea and doesn't make any sense. I thought the galaxy was at peace for a thousand years after the end of the Sith Wars. Further more, the Sith should be in hiding not ruling the universe 80 years prior Episode One. O_o

Lucas will never sell his rights to Star Wars, never. He is making waaaay to much money. The movies, the video games, the cartoons, the action figures, the memorabilia, the clothes, the housewares, the TV endoresments, website membership revenues....
The list goes on and on...
Plus hes got Skywalker Sound, Industrial Light and Magic, THX certification to fall back on. Even if all that wasn't going his way, Star Wars is his baby, I can't see him selling it.
Despite what he has said in the past, I see him making 1 if not 2 more movies. With the record breaking revenues that ROTS is making, the temptation to make more money is to great.

I loved the comment made in one of the links. Another reviewer (who in her own words, "didn't get it") said this:
"Meanwhile, everybody's hanging out with a farting animatronic trash can that basically functions as Lassie-in-space ("what's that, R2?"), and the smartest guy in the galaxy is designated by his ability to speak in non-linear sentences."
The funny thing is, while it is clearly simplifying the matter, it's true. The "comedy relief", which is who they'd be in any other movie, ends up outshining the stars. Yoda's eccentricity has pushed him from mentor role into the center stage spotlight, and in that another movie starring him makes sense.
I'd much rather see the sequels, though. Yoda is fun as a kick-butt Jedi Knight prequel to himself, but you can only take it so much further before it gets ridiculous. It's time to introduce some new characters. Characters nothing like Jar-Jar, of course.
