because our lead (not most of it) is elitest and hypocrtical.

No, its to help build the community better by getting people coming to the new channel to post that they exist and introduce themselves or for those who can't or don't know how to access the forums for those that invited them to make the rest community aware of them...

I myself don't care if the Guru Global chat channel is popular or not. I just wanted us to distance ourselves from the :symbol: crowd, maybe spite them the same way that the OGaming lapdogs like Morcalivan spited us, as if we weren't worthy of associating with them anymore just because we defected.

Petty? Maybe. But it works for me. :|

...a new ingame chat channel has been created in an effort to keep out unknown users...

...while there's been such a push to make this forum official 'to bring in more members'?

I can't be the only one that sees these as crossed purposed actions; nor can I be the only one that's wondering what the real reasons are for wanting this board to be recognised by Cryptic.
Read through this thread (http://www.cohguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=626) to see when it came up.

Then please read this thread for the decision to make a new channel (http://www.cohguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=698).

And finally this thread (http://www.cohguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=726) to see that it was no sudden and "elitist" decision.

And then please stop assuming things that are clearly untrue (as seen in above threads). If you decide to not read the forums due to discrepancies, it is nobody else's fault that you miss all that.

Why are you bashing on Xan? We ALL voted to change the channel.

Edit, Nevermind, I was asking a question but found the answer myself.

The Prince and the Revolution crowd, or the formerly-known-as Prince and the Revolution crowd...?

Lookit, it flat out makes sense -- we are now at cohguru.com, does it make ANY SENSE to invite someone to a pcity.com chat room and then tell them to go to cohguru.com to visit our boards or vice versa? From a new-user standpoint this eliminates that confusion. Pcity gets to continue on it's merry way as Pcity, and we do the same as CoHGuru... Oh, and it's just a name people, what's the big deal?!? Do you really have to care that much about it? If this is the thing that keeps you up at night then I'd really like to have your life.

Seriously... I wish I had so much free time and lesure in my life that I could stress over the changing of a chat channel name and get indignent about it.

Alright. I know where this is going. BvS, this has nothing to do with you. It's just that this is a dead horse, and there is no point in getting everyone frustrated and riled up again. Therefore, I'm closing this. Hope you understand.
