My objection is thus: It was a fad. It's happened before in here, and just like last time, it will die of its own accord. Stuffing them all into the polls won't solve the "problem" as you may see it.

What next? A "seriously guys" thread in the poll section protesting all those "what are you" threads there?

Those threads would have eventually found their way off the front page and into the archives on their own...

I don't think it's a big deal either way. They are just forums, yes they clutter up the front page, but would it kill you do scroll down and ignore them? Probably not. At the same time, I thought it was a bit ridiculous as to how many of them there were.

Ultimately, I don't think such a big deal should be made over it. Put 'em in polls, leave em in spam. Doesn't really make that big of a difference, really. I think the point is that you guys ought to not worry so much about what threads are where, whether they are important, and at the same time, people shouldn't worry about people worrying. Likewise, I think I shall stop worrying about the people worrying about people worrying.

If your argument here is simply that the quizzes belong to the spam forum and not the polls, then I think you're forgetting what are polls all about.
Polls are all about predefined anwsers. You have a question with a set of possible anwsers and people post their results, regardless of whether it's about which costume they like better or what doughnut they resemble more.

Quizzes are polls. They might be stupid enough to qualify for spam (Though I'm not saying they are. Not all of them, anyway :p), but even stupid threads about movies go to the movies section.

While a few quizzes in the spam section were ok at first, it did get pretty ridiculous, like Sol says.

A poll is about voicing your opinion. A quiz is about answering questions and seeing what your results were. They are not the same thing.

If someone took a math quiz and got 86% of the answers right, that doesn't mean that they like 86% of math.
