Even if he continues to work, I don't think he'll be considered very credible after a contempt charge.

Btw, Winged, is that a Hellraiser lego in your avatar?

Someone needs to knock that guy's teeth down his throat and say he learned how to do it playing REAL Football.

I agree with tito...I volunteer to do it! People like that son of a bitch is the reason that nobody under 18 can have any fun these days. I say we all go kick his ass and tell him our combat training. Oh and only come if you have real combat training (karate, judo, etc.) if you don't we're only proving that asshole right.

Maybe he'll wind up going to Federal Pound You In The Ass Prison. Probably not, but I can't think of anyone that needs to be on the end of a good prison buttsex session more than Jack Thompson.

Jack Thompson Avoids Jail But Earns Bar Complaint
October 25th, 2006
From on-the-scene reports it appears that a wild scene took place in the Miami courtroom of Judge Ronald Friedman this afternoon.

A reliable source has told GamePolitics that Judge Friedman did not hear Take-Two’s contempt motion. Instead, Friedman recused himself, explaining that he was filing a complaint against Thompson with the Florida Bar.

Over at Destructoid, Niero has provided additional details in another excellent ”man-on-the-scene” report. Included in the juicy details: four police officers were summoned to keep the peace at one point. Niero has some video to upload. Look for it later today.

The contempt issue will be reassigned to another judge.

Alright, i'm ignorant. The Florida Bar?

The orginzation of lawyers in Florida that oversee's all the lawyers in Flordia. Each state has one. You ever hear of the Bar exame that lawyers have to pass to practice law? That's who gives it.

Cool! Someone snuck a video camera (http://videogames.destructoid.com/jack-thompson-not-going-to-jail.htm) into the hearing, capturing all of Thompson's jackassery on film. Apparently, more will be posted tomorrow.

Minor point but he wouldn't be sent to a maximum security federal penitentiary (like Victorville or Coleman or Marion) for a contempt charge. He'd spent a few months (tops) in some county jail OR to a Club Fed type of joint. Prison buttsex sessions don't generally occur at the county level (though my experience is extremely limited so it's mostly hearsay. But it's A LOT of hearsay :P).

You guys are a lot more optimistic or idealistic than I am though, or so it seems. Do you really expect someone like Jack Thompson to actually have to atone for his "sins"? That's not how our justice system generally works. All of the mindless zealots, from Terry Rakolta to C. Delores Tucker, they never get what's really coming to them in this respect.
