Looking for someone to do up a Tempestria logo. The prize: a million in influence on the Virtue server. Here are the specifics:


Must use our in-game SG logo - Found Here (http://www.creyindustries.com/sgstats.php?sg=10)
Must use our SG colors:
Teal
Gold
Outlining/Bordering Colors Permitted: White and Black
Just a font logo.
Dimensions: 216 x 217.


A little specific, but other then that have fun. Heh. It's basically a, "Come up with the best font and design" kind of contest. I'll permit elements to be used, but if you're going to use them there are specifics for those as well:


Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth can only be included
Must be at the points of the star.

You closed the contest...and still selected a winner. It's not like anyone else, who might have been working on something, stood a chance.

IF you decide to run a contest and then cancel it, it's really bad form to go ahead and award a prize after it's been cancelled.

That's not 'attitude', it's integrity.

If I decide to open a contest, cancel it, and then award someone for taking the time to make something that's called being appreciative. That's like you having a birthday party, you cancel it, yet someone still opts to send you a card or a gift, and you return the favor with a thank you. And I'm not understanding why this concerns you so much. If you have further concerns or issues with this thread or me you can bring it all to the table through PMs.

Rather than have everyone who won't get to read what I'm trying to point out if it's taken to PMs and come up with their own interpretation:

The point I'm trying to make is that some people might have been working on something for you when you closed the contest.

When the contest closed, they didn't bother continuing, and may have deleted what they'd done.

Then, when a piece is submitted (a very good one, in this case) and you go ahead and award the prize, the others might feel slighted at not having had a chance at winning.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, nor calling anyone names. I'm merely pointing out an inconsistency in the way this was handled.
