Anyone tried this game? I picked it up a while ago and finally managed to complete it last evening. And I gotta say this is one of the better FPS experiences I've had in a while.

The game is set in the wild west where you play out the story of two very different characters with very different play styles. Billy is a young rogueish character who can sneak around his enemies, use his whip to climb and swing over things and later in the game get access to bow and arrow.
Ray is a old preacher of the fire-and-brimstone variety who deals out the lords judgement with everything from his fists up to gatteling guns.
During the game you keep changing form one character to the other, telling two sides of the same tale.

The game looks very nice and has a decently interactive environment. You can pick up and trow most objects. Mostly used for stacking objects to climb over things and to throw lanterns at your enemies to splash them with burning oil.

The game has a nicely wide variety of challanges. You seldom get stuck in the rut of doing the same thing over and over for very long. And the changing back and forth from Billy to Ray makes for a constant change in gameplay. Not to mention such extras as wild horse chases, gun-fights from horse-back, duels, rabbit hunting and mountain climbing.

I also gotta mention: Ray can pull out his bible mid-combat and start quoting it to confuse his enemies. Nothing's cooler than reading scripture with one hand while dealing out the lords head-shotting justice with the other :D

There's a demo out btw, for anyone who wants to have a taste before considering buying it.

Since the game came from a Polish studio, I really had my hopes up for it. But when I tried the demo, I decided agaisnt buying it, due to how extremely linear it was.

For instance, when I played as Billy and I had to steal the horse at the beginning of the mission, I went for it and there was a message that I also need a saddle. The guy saw me and I had to try again.
Next time, I went immediately for the saddle, but it wasn't there!
Apparently, the saddle only pops into reality after Billy realizes he needs it.
I think that's way illogical and constraining, plus it totally breaks the immersion.
Maybe it was just that level, but meh.
Even in Pacman, you could decide which fruit to go for first...

I think that's terribly irritating, constraining and it also totally breaks the immersion.

Actually, the saddle changes location each time you have to re-try. So it probably was just placed in another part of the house.
I have to admit that the stealth parts with Billy can be irritating at first, when I played the demo I was going crazy trying to get past the indians. But when I got to that part while playing the full game I breezed past them without any problems. It just takes some practice to get good at playing him.
