Snaps to those responsible for finding and building us a new home. :D I finally feel like I can bookmark this place.

And to reiterate, here are the rules for the Snaps Jar:

(1) Give "Snaps" (aka props, kudos, etc.) to anyone, for anything, whenever the mood strikes you to show your appreciation.

(2) There is no limit to how many snaps you can give out in a post. If you want to give snaps to 50 people or one person, go for it.

(3) The only appropriate response to someone who's given you snaps is, "Thank you."

Oh, and there has been some question about whether "snaps" are negative or not (as in "Oh, snap!"). Truth is, I dunno. I've heard my students say "Oh snap!" when something bad happens. But I've also been told that in the film Legally Blonde 2, the upbeat protagonist starts a "Snaps Jar" at her sorority house or something (obviously I've never seen the film). People write positive things about their friends on little slips of paper and put them in the Snaps Jar. Once a week they gather around and read them.

It seemed like a nice idea, so I thought I'd adapt it for our fine community. Hence the name, even though I've never seen the film.

So, yeah. That's the reason. :)

And that's true, Afterglow is hilarious. He co-created No-Show, helped form him to my favorite character that he is today. I should get together with the Nag and come up with a World of Darkness one-shot or mini-campaign about a supernatural carnival gone bad. Maybe we could call it the Dread Carnivale or something. It's a fairly popular theme--from the old Ravenloft setting for D&D to that video game CarnEvil--and rightly so. Carnivals linger in our collective subconscious as places which are supposed to exist solely for the perpetuation of joy and merriment. So imagine the horrifying clash of sentiment when you discover vampires draining innocent people to death as part of an innocuous-looking stage act, a la Interview with the Vampire. Or the ringleader is immortal as long as he routinely feeds somebody to a demonic beast which travels with the caravan and lives hidden in the one wagon from which all the carnies keep their distance. Or we pull a Hunter: The Reckoning and the performers are all ghosts and undead disguised to look like regular people...maybe a troupe of particularly willful and cannibalistic revenants. Don't mind me, I'm just thinking here. :think:

Massive Snaps to Veikira, Charon, Cryogentic, Iggy, and Krypto for including me on the Tree of Doom strike force last night. I haven't had that much fun in game in a long time; on missions anyway. Thank you all so much. I had a blast, and I especially enjoyed teaming with you all--something I don't get to do very often.

Snaps also to Frosty, for telling me (through Gabe via AIM) about the event. I have been wanting badly to ditch Le Corbeau's superspeed pretty much since level 14, so this was serendipitous and much appreciated. Frosty also gets snaps for being willing to stop what he was doing to pass off much-needed insps to us. It was those insps that enabled us to succeed.

Snaps to Gabe, Red Nile, and Dizz for being willing to also help us out with insps. You guys rock! (Love for the TS!). If it hadn't been for the random kindness of Kyoto Kid, I know you all would have been there too, stocking us up. :)
