Snaps to this community. And I mean everyone here. I got into this discussion with a student today (the day before Thanksgiving break) about whether or not game guildmates were a "worthy" thing to be thankful for. I maintain that they are, and I see them as no different from RL friends.

This got me thinking about this community and the time I've spent here. It's been nearly three years for me (by my count), and we've all kind of stuck by eachother for that amount of time and then some (I know some of you "old timers" have known one another in this format for even longer than that). That's pretty amazing, especially when you consider that we've had at least two forum moves (one since I've known you all), and our share of drama over the course of that time. I mean, we're separated by geography and more, in some cases, but we all keep sticking around and when you get right down to it, we're here for eachother.

I don't really know where I'm going with this... I mean, it would be a lie to say we all love eachother to pieces and get along great. I know there are probably some people here who can't stand one another... but we've learned to live with one another and let one another live. I think that's kind of a triumph of human decency, personally. And despite our differences in politics, attitudes, life situations, opinions, or favorite foods, I honestly can't think of a person here who's not, at the core, just a downright nice, decent person.

This has the potential to turn into a big emo group-grope, and that's not my intention (unless someone brings whipped cream :) )... but sometimes I'm just really struck by how marvelous it is that I have the privilege to know you all. I really, really appreciate this space and everyone who fills it. So... snaps.

The lag in game for me has been getting out of hand to an extreme degree. Red suggested that I clean the fans, heat sinks and whatnot inside the computer. Since nothing else has worked, I gave it a try this morning. I'm fairly fussy about keeping the computer area clean and dust free but I never considered the inside of the box itself. Bleah... talk about heaps o' crud! So did as good of a cleaning as possible.

WooHOO! It's almost as good as it used to be! I'll probably have to take the thing to someone for a really thorough cleaning, though. There are too many tiny nooks and crannies in there that I can't reach.

Might have cumulative heat damage to the video card. If it's a standalone card, I recommend an upgrade

So! Slaphappy hit 50. I have alot of snaps to hand out for it, as no way did I do this by myself, at all.

Snaps to Charon for his PvP events. They really pulled me back into the character, and got me excited for the concept. The level minimums for each PvP zone was the first carrots dangling in my face that got me to keep on dinging.

Snaps to Charon and Jumproot, for going on and on about how great the CoV content is. They were right. :lol: I started jumping from arc and arc, amazed at how awesome the stories were.

Big snaps to Dragonberry, for, well, what can I say. For being the first member of villain PWN squad. For that first "I'm bored! Can I team?" tell when I was doing arcs, and I invited her. Then to the eventual fun RP duo, and for sticking through all these levelings. Being a good friend, funny, overall being awesome to hang out with. Kudos to you! Also, for the art. Loves it.

I want to thank Burby, Deebs, Krypto, Joe in spirit otherwise known as text messages, Korpy umm....and everyone else who helped me level this weekend. It was a lot of fun and I'm pooped. I apologize for my cranky moments, i haven't touched an energy drink or doubleshot all weekend and it's hitting me now. Sorry I can't remember everyone right now, it's been a blur.

Big props and thanks go out to my awesome supergroup the Paragonian Knights. We peaked at 95 Knights online at one time on Saturday night. A record for us. Lots of teaming both heroside and villainside netted over 4 million prestige earned in one weekend for the PK main!
