I just rummaged through my high school notes and found a couple of old party invitations from freshman year and the sort. And now I can't help but feel so very old.

well one reason for feeling old is not being properly frigerated. maybe thats the reason. have you made sure the freshness seal has been sealed properly? Remember. Blue and Yellow Make Green!

How old are you? When did you graduate? If it was in this century, then shut up. :shinner:

its not your age, its how you feel. I may be 24, but I feel like I'm 10. :D of course when people ask me my age I say 21 so I can lie about my age and still Drink Alcohol(I really look like a 17 though. go me!)

Personally, I'm 29. And I have been for damn near 7 years now. :D
Though I do have days where I feel 79...

Age didnt mean much to me until I found out I was going to be a daddy... and then I started thinking about death.
Blah!
PS - Scarf Girl: The Gurus thank you for the visual.

Call me neurotic, but the wrinkles are creeping up on me. They're out to get me dammit! (I sort of like the look of wrinkles, but not when you're still in your teens! Oh well... At least I still have all my hair.)

Its honestly more for the cutesy aspect than a fine appreciation for Sponge Bob Squarepants :) unfortunetly I have yet to find Lazy Town underroos but I did find a really cool pink wig so im half way there :)
I often get twinges of old person pangs while looking through High school and middle school photos , its not so much getting older as noting everyone that I was friends with that I no longer see anymore .
The things I enjoyed doing in school I still do and continue to do ..sometimes to the chagrin of my friends
My kids watch Lazy Town. :)
I don't feel old. Just young at heart. Going just past my eighth 29th birthday and I still wear Supergirl pj's to bed. I have winter ones in pink with little pink shields on them and summer ones in blue/red with a short sleeved top. Unfortunately the flannel footed sleeper was too big or I would have bought it last winter. I still wear shirts with Disney characters on them too. Of course the daily "mom uniform" consists of tee shirt, jeans (or jean shorts) with keds. Its simplistic and goes with everything :)
I also collect toys and various action figures, plus buy lego sets. Still have an X-Wing fighter that has yet to be built along with a Tie and a fiber-optic lit Star Destroyer.
Then there is the whole costume and halloween thing. But that's a thread within itself :)

But anyway, you're no where near old, considering I'm not.. so yeah. and I'm almost up to my 10 year reunion.

I am the same exact way. Only for me it's been an 18 year journey. Yeah, class of 1988 baby! Same as Debbie Gibson. :naughty: I had such a crush on her...
I still keep in touch with about 3 of my frineds from high school. In fact, Teddy Lady is one of them, and I only recently re-connected with her a few months ago after 17 years of no contact.

10 year reunion? wow Try 20 next year. :::Shudders::: The comic/geekness flows through from high school, and I'm very close with 1 buddy from high school and about 3 I've known since my freshmen first minute of college, and consider my ass very lucky to have such good friends for so long.
Your only as old as you feel is true, now the body will start to go, even if you take care of it (which I really didn't), but remember a man's physical peak (not sexual) is about thirty so no reason to worry.
Your gonna learn a few things, hopefully, and make a few changes to your personality, but your you now...forever. :) I remember thinking when I was 25 "when am I gonna grow up and feel as serious as mom and dad or their friends?" Never happened, I'm sure it never happened to them either

I just wish my metabolism were how it used to be. It was never the same after I starved for several months, and it hasn't gotten any better since then. God, and I used to feel horribly overweight then too...
As for the under roos when I was so very little, didn't have any. :P Just standard, plain clothing I slept in. And if I did it would have been Crypt Keeper under roos. The guy was my hero!

I was going to make a comment, but that would only serve to remind me how old I really am as well. *sigh* But I still have the attitude of an 18 yr old, and that's not always a good thing.

I believe that with the exception of Elemento, I am the oldest Guru on the boards. However, I truly feel like I am only about 26-27 physically (18 mentally) :)

Wait, I'm lying, I didn't have any girlfriends. Crap. Sorry, that was really bad form.

You feel old because you don't watch kids shows, play with toys and make funny little sounds on purpose just to be crazy :D
Scarf: So you have the wig, now you just need the teeny tiny skirt an nylons. Oh... and puppets. Lots of puppets.

I'm starting to realize that it was a big mistake to measure the progress of time by video game systems and computer development. :(
I remember making boot disks, REMMING things out of my config.sys and autoexec.bat so I could get enough conventional memory free (There's only 640K of conventional memmory.. ever.) to get a program running in MS-DOS.
