Okay, so I just got back from the hematologist. For those of you who have taken an interest in the ongoing medical anomaly that is my white blood cell count, I have an update for you. For those of you who haven't, I apologize for the spam; please drive through.

So, my count is up! It's been at about 2 for the past several months (dropped down to 1.8 at one point! Yikes!). Today's count was a whopping 2.4. Considering that 4 is the bottom end of "normal," and 7 is where most normally healthy people are, a 2.4 isn't that great, but it's going up (however slightly) so that's a good thing.

My hematologist still has no idea how they can be so low and I can still be as healthy as I am. So I'm thinking, it's gotta be superpowers coming out somehow. :)

I've been going in to get blood drawn every month to check the count, and seeing him once every three months, and it's been the same old story: low WBC, but I'm healthy, so how can this be? My low numbers go back at least two years, and likely five (depending on how you read the old test results), so according to him, I should be dead by now if the low WBC were a symptom of anything really serious. So thankfully it's not anything really serious, as far as we can tell at this point.

A bone marrow biopsy would definitively rule that stuff out, but, meh. I feel fine and my doctor is okay with my not having one at this point.

So we're back where we started: still not sure how my counts can be where they are and I can be this healthy, and checking the counts monthly and visiting him quarterly so we can scratch our heads and wonder. :)

Nothing really new to report, I guess, except for the .4 increase, which is good news.

Considering every piercing I've had done gets a little infection after, I would imagine.

Have then checked for copper based blood? Maybe your part vulcan? Or a regen, woverine's healing factor spends 99.2543435322532432512133984345% of its time keeping him alive with metal bones. Maybe each of you white blood cells is 3 times as powerful as a normal one. Thats your superpower, Kryptonian White Blood cells.

So if she's regen, does that make her more of a scrapper or a stalker?

I reckon it has to do with healthy living and shear force of will. Either way, this is fantastic news simply because to could be much, much worse... It could be dropping. It isn't, and you're healthy. Glad to hear it Lummy! :)

Clearly, her state of good health in spite of her low white blood cell count is an indicator that she's been taking powers in the Fitness pool to gain the Health power.

My questions are, did she take Hurdle or Swift (or both) to get to Health? And, has she taken Stamina yet (or does she plan to)?

Well, she's a ballet dancer, doesnt that involve a lot of jumping? I dont forsee a whole lot of fast running in those funky slippers, so my money is on Hurdle. Though I doubt she slotted it. I think she'll 3-slot Health before she goes for the Stamina.

I'll happily volunteer my services as a photographer. I even have a few conceptual ideas for costumes :naughty:
