I have recently commissioned Guild Helper to do a single color-simple background artwork piece of Coyote Storm. These are the same people that did the wonderful Gwendolyn Snow piece for my wife. Difference is this one will not have the detailed background. I thought I would share with my SG the progression of the piece as I receive updates.

First up, today I received many preliminary sketches for the artist and these are the two groups of pencils I have chosen. Feel free to comment.

Personally I love the ones with the bows and quiver of arrows but not sure how to include the feather cape. May tell them just to leave the cape off if they can not get it to work together well.

I like the "grabbing arrows" pose the best, myself. :)

Love the frontal with the bow I assume shooting an arrow, with one leg up, very classic. I also like the one grabbing the arrows. Can't wait to see the proggression.

I have recently upgraded my drawing to a full detailed background (similiar to the Gwen Snow drawing). So I hope to have new scetch up soon for you all to check out. :)

Yeah, I don't blame you for upgrading. Those background details are too good to pass up.

I agree. So the next question is what should the background be? They can do just about anything but prefer to have some screen shots. When I first created Coyote he named Perez Park as his home in Paragon and has attempted to clean it up. I am considering that as the backdrop but I don't want just a boring tree setting. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Maybe that cabin area by the lake?

I know I'm not on the team, but I have a suggestion. What about up on the wall, about to take on some Hellions or Skulls. That way, you get both the city scape in the foreground, and the trees from the park proper in the background.

I was thinking the same. Then I can still use the grabbing arrows pose.

Interesting positions there Grae. I like the one where Coyote is pulling the arrows very classic. The other with the leg up on something and preparing to fire. Seen a lot of that one on the Green Arrow books.

Oh and go to Paragon Park. A new resident moved in to the neighborhood.

Next step in the progression of the Coyote Storm is upon us. I have received these three skethces with backgrounds to choose from. Of course if I don't like any of them they would give me different ones, but I am pretty happy with them all. Let me know which one you guys like.

I dig 1.

Out of the three, I am leaning towards number 1 because I love the park in the background. However, the way Coyote is looking off in the distance in 3 is cool and it kind of says to me "Indian in the Big City" to me.

I like #2 myself, it loosk more like Perez than Atlas, but #1 is cool as well. I'm not fond of #3.

I like #1 with the park in the background. Show's that he considers it his territory to protect. Muggers beware!

I am told I should have another update this week. They are adding some customizations to the drawing for me. Little stuff like an engraving on a tree with my wife and my name on it, newspaper headline about Grae Knight and the statue in the background will be of Grae Knight :)

That sounds amazing, can't wait to see it. Is so cool they go so indept to satisfy the costumer or is it your southern charm?

LOL, they are pretty good about satisfying your requests. If you look around Gwen Snow's piece in the background there are little personal touches. Like the Capes & ****tails sign. That is a RP bar that Gwen runs, there is a year + long thread on the PK forum about it.

RP bar you say, will have to ck in on that. You know I wonder why I never check in with the PK, as long as I have been in this forums. I gotta get me some of this art for Big G.

After the artist got stumped with how to make Coyote look his best in the pose and sketches I chose, he decided to give me three more to choose from. I really like these and have already picked the one to go with but decided to share them with you all..

Thanks, also the first one is the one that stumped him. Not enough Coyote was the issue. I went with number 3. If you are wondering, that is a statue of Grae Knight he is standing on :)

Not sure how many of you are following along but here is the pencils prior to inking. They asked me for feedback, anything I would like to change before they ink. I like it as is. What do you all think?

LOL, yeah. Special request I put in :) He was also going to have a tree with Lady Grae and my real names carved into it, but we went with a different pose and background.

Thanks, I am not getting another commission for the rest of this year, but if some USS want to go in with me to get another let me know come January. It is alot cheaper with more people. A cool action shot would be nice.
