Thank you Solario. Thank you SO much for recommending the Scott Pilgrim books. I was waiting for the ferry laughing my ass off in the car while people walked by and stared at me. So great and funny, and well written too.

For those of you who don't know about it. It's a manga-ish styled book about a 23 year old guy who's dating a 17 year old high school girl. Then he sees this girl he falls in love with at first sight, and starts to date her. But before they can be together, he has to fight her seven evil ex-boyfriends.
The fight scenes are crazy, with combos and huge power hits, it's hilarious. Once when he beats a guy, a present box pops up, and it's a Mithril Skateboard! (+4 to speed, +3 to kick, +1 to will), but he forgot to pick up the Skateboard proficiency at grade 5! :chuckle:

Lots of videogame/nerd humor. I highly, highly reccommend getting them (there's 3 books out now).

Yeah Scott Pilgrim is totally awesome. I love the captions/stats that pop up once in a while, like "Scott (Last Name Unknown), Other Scott, 25 years old. Fairly gay." then followed by "Wallace Wells, Scott Pilgrim's roommate, 25 years old. Pretty darn gay."

Yep, it's being made into a movie by the director behind Shaun of the Dead and Bryan Lee O'Malley is apparently working closely with him on it. Only problem I have with it, is that they're compacting the six first volumes into the first movie. But I get that a movie needs resolution and that unlikely, say, Harry Potter, there's not really a success guaranty.
