SK just mentioned it in a thread and I have been considering it since the whole official site thing came up:
We are now CoHGuru.com, not Pcity (aka :symbol: ) anymore. But the ingame global chat channel is still called PCity, which confuses many people, especially the newcomers. Since there is no way to rename the channel, we'd have to create a new one. People would have to leave the current one and join the new one.

Don't go ahead and create channels on your own. First of all I want to know if it's okay with you all to make the transfer complete and leave the :symbol: channel. If majority goes with yes, I'll post the channel.

It's not about anyone for now. The decision for now is ONLY if we want to change the channel name to fit the actual forum, which to me makes more than sense. :symbol: is the past, let's move on. We are still the same community.

The other matter, having so many unknown people in there, is to be decided on later. I do not want the channel to be private, that works against the community channel thing, but I would like to at least have SG lists with global handles or so. I don't want to be in the channel and feel like an idiot every time I have to ask "Uhm, X, who are you on the forum?".

Yes. Create a new channel ane let's transfer over. Also, like SK said, do not reveal the name till it's created. This'll prevent some wiseacre from creating it first and thwarting any moves.

I somewhat agree with Krypto that it makes little difference to me what our channel is called. On the other hand, it'll only take me all of about 2 seconds to leave that channel and join the new one, so if everyone decides to do that it's no biggie. :)

You are auto logged into any channels you are a member of. The only way to hide now is to leave the channel, then rejoin. Or have they changed that?

No invite was needed. Just type in the /chanjoin Pcity.com and you were there. It's not a private channel and nor should it be one.

I didn't Vote. ITs cause i am fine with it either way.
