So while passing through Atlas Park tonight, I saw something rather interesting. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus1.jpg)

Now, Hellions mug a great many people in Atlas, and no one has time to save everyone. Thus it's usually important to single out those you wish to save. Given that Jesus is usually hte one who saves, this was most perplexing. Intruiged, I ran to the source of the word bubbles for a closer inspection. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus2.jpg)

I couldn't believe my eyes! It was Jesus! And he was being mugged by a whole gang of Hellions! Although, upon closer inspection, it seems that he really has let himself go over the years. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus3.jpg)

This brought about an important question. Did Jesus return to be mugged for our MMO sins? Was he doing this so we could be forgiven for ganking, PL'ing, and making truly bad characters? Or did Jesus run into some really bad luck straying too far from Ms. Liberty? If it was the latter, he would need a savior, if it was the former, I needn't get in the way. Unable to determine it on my own, I asked around in Atlas and the Guru channel for advice. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus4.jpg)

I got some useful information from fellow Gurus. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus5.jpg)

Ultimately I decided that I would save Jesus. However, my motives may not have been the purest... (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus5half.jpg)

And I almost forgot Jesus's new disciple (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus6.jpg) that was trapped alongside him!

Clearly there were some in Atlas burned by Jesus's love in the past, as they were a bit skeptical (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus7.jpg) of how this rescue would turn out.

In the end though, it was a quick battle. The Hellions were defeated in seconds, thus Jesus and his friend Aldo made their gratitude clear. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus7half.jpg)

It was an honor! To be the favorite hero of so many people's personal lord and savior! Oh, if only my armor weren't so rusty and banged up from the mountains of debt I had. I was speechless. I could have sworn I had turned Cloak of Fear off, but for a quick moment Jesus and Aldo ceased their bowing and praises and instead cowered before me. (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/jesus8.jpg)

Afterward they ran off, happily not mugged. Now, if anyone can make a banner out of this stuff you will have my eternal gratitude, as I lack the graphical skills to do so. Who knows, you just may win the Internet (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/omgaward.jpg).

Yeah no offense, but this was funny maybe like, a week after the game was released.
Jesus is a common hispanic name, I don't see why people have to snicker every time they see "Jesus" in game.

It's going to come up for eternity.

Kudos for a step-by-step story though. I enjoyed it.

Never ran into, or heard of anyone running into, a civilian named Jesus before. This guy didn't look particularly Latino either.

Somehow that makes it all the better. Shame I didn't take screenshots with the other stuff you were saying in broadcast last night.

That's ok, I've run into transvestites in game before.

That would explain the goth girl in the hospital in Sharkhead I saw once called "Son."

The names aren't all enlgish now. Son is probably Korean, Japanese, or Chinese and feminine.

Yes, we've had many threads about this before. There are some zones that have wacky names.

Run around City of Heroes, and you will find the lower-level zones have had the gender issue mostly taken care of and the names are multinational. Get in the higher level zones, and the gender issue is still there and the names being used are completely different from the other zones.

I discovered this when during a previous thread people were laughing about girls named Steve and boys named Sally but I couldn't find any cases of improper names. The zones I happened to be in were the mostly fixed one. When I hit Brickstown, all the old name problems were there and they were all American.

Heh heh. Probably English. You know they switch around names.
Their men spell it Geoffrey.

Damn straight. Why do you think we officially dropped the 'A' in 1952?
