View Full Version : I declare this week to be Chris Week!

The Widowed
06-13-2006, 11:00 PM
Okay, so we're already a day or two into this week. Bite me. It still ends at midnight between the 17th and the 18th anyway, which is enough time for some good-natured jeering. :D

As Sally has pointed out recently...well, it's one of those things that everybody notices but nobody mentions. It stands out, it can be deemed a little bit annoying by its sheer lack of necessity but nobody bothers with it because it's not really harming anything...much like that odd-looking green vase which sits in the bathroom window for years without anybody moving it. But we all know how Masked Revenger habitually signs off on his posts with "Chris" for some reason or another, even if the posts only consists of three words or so. Perhaps he doesn't trust us to remember his identity from post to post, perhaps it is simply a deliberate quirk applied to give himself a unique sort of style. It doesn't matter, really; It's just a name and it just sits there. And we've pretty much ignored it up until now.

And, ever since Sally brought mention of it slamming into the forums' eyeball within the past few days, I got to thinking last night. "You know what? That funny, unique little habit is just begging to be parodied, perhaps even on a forumwide scale...."

And so I introduce Chris Week. Seeing as this wouldn't be the first "tailor your posts, signature or avatar to suit a certain theme" fad which has ever come across these forums, you should already know what to do.

One time a bird got into my house and I had to track it down, and blast owl noises out of my computer so it'd get scared. Once I found it, I grabbed it in a towel, released it into the air and everything went in slow-mo, my arms wide open, and that music started playing.
