Suggestion: Paragon City Fight Club

Time for a little necro-posting!! I just wanted to revive this idea, as either a stickied thread named fight club, or maybe a new section in the arena part of the forums.

You see, I did my duty on the Test server, fighting every battle I could get into against every foul-mouthed dreg and whining jerk (there were good times too, but rare with pick-up teams in the arena). I put in my time with teams that gave up when they couldn't win easily, or people that yelled at you for using your best tatics because it made it harder for them to beat you easily... And that's not what I want from the arena. I don't mind losing (though I perfer to win) but I'd rather fight along side and against friends. It's what makes it fun.

So, what say you all?! Let's make a fight club for the (ex)pcity.com crowd. Let's base it on fun, friends, sportsmanship and good times. Who's with me?!

Duals only interest me if it's from members of the same archtype. No, mostly I wanted to join in team battles. They are what's fun and chaotic and frantic. I think a lot of people would join in if it was just us pcity folk...

So Darknesse, you wanna volunteer as the mod... seems only fitting.

Oh, and I think the first team battle outa have Krypto and Darknesse as opposing team captians :shinner:

Anyone wanting to be the PvP mod should post their intentions, in the appropriate forum. Xan can then set up a poll and those interested can vote.

I would probably agree, one on one battles aren't likely to be balanced anyway. I would probably join a team battle if one was available.

However, my character of Sandy comes from an Arena battle game, and you had a round-robin kind of a thing there, to compensate for some combinations being more imbalanced that others. You basically had a group, and everyone fought one on one against everyone else in the group, and then the winner was the person with the most wins overall. You could overcome a loss if you won more than everyone else.

The devs may already be planning something like that with the tournaments, I don't know. But if not, I'd like to see some of us just set up something like that.
