This patch is out. Something I noticed that is kind of disappointing, however:

Tasks

Modified Rank of Nictus Crystal Shard. Also, it will no longer appear in Kheldian missions randomly.

These enemies were set as a Giant Monster level threat as opposed to a Boss level threat. This has been fixed. Also, they were sometimes appearing in random Nictus Hunter spawns. Now they will only show up in specific high level Kheldian missions.

While EXTREMELY difficult to deal with, I though it was VERY cool that this was just randomly appearing in missions, Mahaf & I had a Freak-Farming misssion a week or so back where it showed up, lots of death but just damn cool that it was there and random, so it's a slight disappointment that that will seemingly no longer occur.

Maybe at a later time they will add random appearances (Arch-Rivals anyone? :D) but make them more suited to the challenge level of the hero. It was probably the random thing that was cool, not the dying all the time. ;)

[edit] For some reason, the following phrase just popped into my head...

"Use magic to kill Death".

At least one thing in that update is patently false.

Powers

Martial Arts/Storm Kick no longer uses the old multiple kick sound effect

Last night, as soon as I logged in, I jumped on my MA scrapper to check it out (that sound effect REALLY annoyed me). It's still there and still trés annoying.

What worries me though is this:

AI was improved on the following villains so that they cycle through their powers better:

* Envoy of Shadow, Baphomet, Behemoth, Behemoth Master, Behemoth Lord, Behemoth Overlord, Fire Thorn Caster, Possessed Scientist, Far Fire, Fire Dagger, FrostFire, Damned, Infernal, Demon Overlord, Lead Scorcher, Scorcher, Lead Quantum Scorcher, Rikti Magus

Frostfire mish is generally 'faceplant-frenzy' (at least from what I've seen). Making the mobs who largely populate that mission as well as most of the (tougher, for lack of a better word) villains who populate that stage (Hollows, Steel Canyon, etc), should either spice things up or make it so frustrating, even more folks will ignore the Hollows and move to Perez Park (as I've seen of late).

I think the reason why a lot of people are getting sick of the Hollows is that when you get sent there, you always get put onto the same story arc with each new character. If you get into a Hollows group, then chances are your entire party has to do the same set of missions, which means you end up doing the same ones over and over. That's why I avoid the Hollows with any new alts I make.

What they should have done is create several different story arcs for the zone, at least one per Origin would be sufficient.

Envoy of shadow

Did he really need to be improved since you fight him least 3 times in one arc and he is extremely powerful
