Ok, I'm working on a new character for a new story that I'm writing and I'm having a little bit of trouble with him. Like most of my characters he's gonna be tied to some of my others and that's all planned in my head, and his back story is all well and done with in my head as well, so that's ok too. The part that I'm having trouble with is his in game powers and name. He's a basic magician type powers wise so his powers don't really have to make sense, so almost any combination would work for almost any archetype. But the name I'm having trouble with too. His old name was Magic Fingers, it's gonna be one of the jokes in the story, but he'll change it afterwards. So what I'm asking for is a magicky name and powers to fit this character.

Any help would be appreciated, and if needed, more info can be given.

EDIT: And I'm not really sold on the costume. I might go with somethign a bit more medieval, with the armor and whatnot.

Based on his looks I assume he's to be a bubbler?

Anyway some names I'm drumming up at the moment based on his uniform and or his magic background:

Prestidigtor
Ensorcelled Eddy (Magic Bubble, HA!)
Incubus
Specter Spector
Ghostly Groper (think I read something about a funny finger joke in there)
The Turquoise Sphere

Unfortunately after seeing the new model of the character the only thing I can think of quick is "Iron Bugle Boy" :P

Mage-Knight (though you have to watch out for Wiz-Kids)

speaking of mage's, just finished re-reading Matt wagner's comic "Mage - The Hero discovered" which was recently re-released in deluxe tradepaperback form. Highly recommended!

Mage was an awsome series. I loved the Hero Discovered better than the Hero Defined, but still, I liked both series. I keep hoping he'll release the third installment soon.

Only read one Mage comic, picked it up from the bargain bin, but it was great.

And which costume was it that you're referring to?

1. Where's the robes?
2. Needs red and some horns
3. huh?
4. *breaks out the grass skirt, skull belt and knuckle bone necklace*

In other words those just don't sound right for the character.

Actually, "Which Doctor" is a REALLY good pun, and would fit the character if he has a lot of jokes in his bio. And since it's a pun, he doesn't literally have to look like a Witch Doctor.

Quite frankly, even if you don't use it, I would grab that name if somebody else hasn't. It's too good. :D

[edit] He would almost have to be an Empathy, Rad, or Kinesis, though. Although he could go with Defender or Controller.

I really like the the first costume. too many acutriments(sp?) can kill a theme.

Ok, went with the first costume, called him The Modern Man, now to find powers. I tried a bubbler, but couldn't really get into it, thinking either Kinetics or Storm Summoning and either Rad(RP it being mystic energy) or Electric as a secondary. Any advice on any of those power sets, good sides and bad sides?
