Ok, d00ds. Here it goes.

First off, Im going to need a demo from ya'll.
(Taken from coh.com)
1. In the game chat window, type: /demorecord “demo name” (do not use quotation marks)
2. Example: /demorecord coh001
3. Hit enter and demo will begin recording
4. To end the demo type in the chat window: /demostop
5. The recorded demo is saved to your \city of heroes\client_demos\ folder
6. Example: \city of heroes\client_demo\coh001.cohdemo


Try to make the demo short and sweet, shouldnt be long at all, smaller is better.

Now, you need to send me the demo, via AIM or email

And start the requests now, Ill make as many as I can, first five to respond get em'. Once I'm done I will take another five....etc.

Slight challenge for you Thermy -- Can you make them fit the 120 pixel limit of our siggys? They'd be much more useful to us that way, probably, anyway...

Neurox is my alt, and I was just checking to see how well it looked.
Ill try to make em' fit the size limit too.... maybe like avatar size ones...

Wow. That's pretty dang cool. An animated gif recorded by the game. I may just have to try one myself. If I can make it work, I'll help you out, dude. Since you know you are going to get deluged with requests now. ;)

How do you actually use the CoH demo files.... just wondering.

There are other steps required. You basically record the demo, then convert it into tga files. I converted them at 5fps, so there are 5 images for every second. Then I open up Image Ready and make each image a frame.

You can view your demo similiar to using the test server. You change the target to "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -demoplay DEMONAME
then that opens, and plays the demo, but that only allows you to view it, to convert it you use the windows CMD.

That makes sense... but I still don't know how to do that..... Did you learn how to do this from an FAQ or something? Send it to me if you did, this sounds interesting.

ok, just to get this straight, we are supposed to make a demo of something in game, be it taking down a thug, or using a power, or something of the like, right?

Exactly, but make sure its small, a few seconds long, otherwise it might not fit the limit for size! :cry:

It'll probably be a few days till i can put something together but it'll probably be based around Major's amazing ko blow power, i'm hitting roughly 500 dmg on that these days...
