According to Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi, the center left is known to be affiliated with China and them baby boiling commies! (http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/03/29/berlusconi.babies.reut/index.html) In a recent televised and public debate, he stated that if you vote for Prodi (his oppponent) you are 'coglioni,' a word that the press had a hard time translating though it's the equivalent for saying on public television that 'You're ****heads if you vote Dem."

I'm sorry, but it's no surprise to me atleast, that Berlusconi is an idiot with a complete lack of tact, morale and has some alleged ties to fascist movements and quite possibly also La Cosa Nostra. Not to mention the fact that he actually owns a good portion of the media.

That's a great way to capture the swing voters.
If this guy wins an election, it's either going to be through massive fraud, or it's going to be an indictment on the intelligence of everyone in Italy.
Incidentally, the other day he compared his opponent to every 20th century dictator he could think of. I have no idea how it translated, but I heard Stalin, Hitler, Castro, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung and a few others.

That's funny considering he believes Mussolini to be the greatest Statesman Italy has ever had and has also said on another occasion that Mussolini has never killed anyone.
I feel for you Mal; this is bad, very, very bad.

Yay! 'Course now he's claiming he was gyped and is trying to have them recounted. I can't believe almost half of Italy voted for the sociopath, but hey Prodi won, so I have no reason to complain. ;)
