Think the Paragon Dance Party's just some place where you dance till you get bored and leave? Think again! One night, the Widowed, Sgt. Santa and the odd random passerby hijacked a pool table and turned the upper landing into a gambling den. We would have been playing Craps, except that we only had one die. So we named the game One Die. We each raised or saw our Influence bets before the roll-off, and the highest roll took all. Ties went to reroll. (http://img138.echo.cx/img138/8020/Gambling2.jpg)

This was the round where Sgt. Santa lost 40,000 Influence on one roll. Santa and Widdy had mostly been throwing Influence back and forth...3000 here, 5000 there, 1000 or 8000 now and then. The reddish guy came up to join our game and immediately bet 40k.. We got suspicious and Santa asked to see 40k of the guy's own Influence in a trade window, just to see if he had it. He did. Widdy immediately backed out of the round, Sgt. Santa and Red Guy locked the bet at 40k, and Santa threw a 1. I think Red Guy followed by rolling a 5. Then Red Guy thanked us and ran off. But it was okay; Santa started betting in the 10k range and soon won all that Influence back. Yes, he took my Influence too. (http://img135.echo.cx/img135/8031/Gambling.jpg)

Gambling: It does a much better job of corrupting Heroes than any Villain ever could. ;)
