View Full Version : Comic update

So, comic's on hold for a bit. The script was actually the first one to be substantially finished out of the four or five that I was working on. But then Thundermace posted a link to this free rendering program, and I'm engrossed in that for the moment. If I could get proficient with that, then I could cut out a whole bunch of the crap that I'm currently doing now with screenshots. Plus, it would feel a lot more legitimate. So, probably nothing happens right now, but you may get some CW renders out of it. I've got a cool cover idea for KoS and Oly that I was going to try out. I'll see what I can do.

Rendering is hell of fun. Can you link me to the program as well?

Not much you can do in the way of creating 3D stuff, but I just got an open source 3d modeling program, and we'll see what I can do with that. What I'd probably do is use background shots from something like COH or the Sims or Simcity, and see if I can't do the characters using this program, which is basically Poser with a little less functionality.
But you know, being an ex-architecture major, it wouldn't be that big of a stretch for me to make my own city.....muahahahaha.

I DLed Blender and was playing with that last night. It's a true 3d program.

One last screen. I've been playing around trying to get a good reflection off of GS' chest, but mostly it's just a bunch of squiggly color. I'll repost if I get something good:

Obvious collision issues here, but I'm still learning how to use the tool that deals with that, and I wanted to kick some good ole Oly action:

Yeah, I'm getting a little better.

Looks pretty good so far.
I can see the reflection off GS' chest, it is the ant, but there is something odd about the way it reflects. I'm not sure what.
