Hope this actually gets made. I hate when things get announced and then that's the last you hear of them.

/edit: Here is their official site so far: http://www.exanimusthegame.com/
Not much to see yet.

Seriously though, sounds awesome!

I figured it was going to be a David Bowie MMO.

The mental picture in my head is just too frightening to put into words. :look:

I would get it. As long as one of my contacts was T. Rex.

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINSSSSSSSS. That has the possibility (atleast concept-wise) to be awesome.

I want contacts like Rick (Grimes), Ash, Shaun, Jill Valentine etc. as humans and possibly just a single Bob as zombie contacts. ;)

The zombie genre has become quite popular recently, what with the various comics (Walking Dead, Black Gas, Zombie King, Zombieworld, Love Eats Brains etc.) and the various movies and quite possibly a few books.

I predicted the next popular theme will be Westerns.

Like I said... I really hopes this develops beyond the "just contemplating" stage.

The next question about this is: If and when they open a discussion forum, how long before some turd brain starts a "I don't feel dead enough" thread. :p

Seems cool but I don't know how they'll keep players playing. Seems like the novelty will wear off quickly.

BRIANS!!! BRAINS!!! BRAINS!!!

Translation= Seems pretty cool. Need to read up some more. I know my friend who's a big horror fan will like it.

Topics of discussion for the Examinus forums:

- Can I be a good zombie? You know, the kind that just eats other zombies?

- I wanna have a playa zombie - when he bites a girl, he ain't going for brains, hehehe

- Can I have a chainsaw attached to my wrist while dual welding a double-barrelled shotgun? If no, why not?

- Will we be able to kill our teammates who have been bitten by zombies in order to stop the infection spreading?

- Exactly what kind of loot a zombie would drop...

Anyway, I've been on the lookout for a horror mmog to get into / keep an eye on, so thanks for the link Sally.

Oh lord.... I totally did not contemplate the possibility of Ash clones. They will be everywhere.

I can't quit you. By which I mean eating your raw flesh. You must have had a serious cigarette habit.

I must say, apart from Age of Conan, this is now the MMO I'm most looking forward to (although it will probably be a LONG while before it goes beta).

In this game, you will be frowned upon for teaming up in public. Also, part of your character creation will be to create a beard alt of the opposite sex.

If its done well, it will be just right! I can't wait to see if they ever get around to do it.

The biting with most likly be done with 'Meds' to keep you from being a zoming. Because just a small scratch making you a zombie would totally suck for players who spend months/days making a toon just to have him turn all zombie.

Just wait and see. But I might actually PAY for another MMO now.

So a pirate zombie one would be right p your alley eh?

Pitch the idea to Disney : Pirates of the Carribean - the MMO.

That has promise...but I'm not sure a Pirate MMO (Aside from Yohoho Puzzle Pirates) will see the light of day.

R.O.S.E Online has some pirate-esque classes, but takes place in a solar system of 7 planets rather than the high seas. Final Fantasy also just got a new Corsair (pirate) class.
