Sure, lots of other folks have the same costume, but I really loved my guy Sea Wolf:

The costume was iconic, simple, projected who the character was and what he could do. The costume was great. Until I saw that costume for real:

Oh dear. Life may never be the same.

Very few spandex costumes look good in real life, don't worry, coldcut. Also, I think most of the goofiness comes from the bottlenose and the tail, neither of which you have.

Very few spandex costumes look good in real lifeAgreed. If you have ever been to a comic convention, you'll probably see a lot of people dressed up, and it's always a letdown.

Well, it's not just the spandex, it's also that no one in real life is built like the heroes in the comics, either.

not true. It's just the people who look like them are either in the army, are a model, or don't care enough about superhero stuff to dress up like them and go t the conventions...

I've had the hero for a very long time. And then I found a photo of a guy who appeared to be dressed very much the same way. I thought it was funny cause the "RL" guy was obviously about 40 pounds overweight and stubby, whereas Sea Wolf is about 300 pounds of pure muscle.
I probably look more like guy in the costume currently.

Well, Let's be honest. Most comic book geeks have never even seen the inside of a gym, let alone work out.
I know when I go to Dragon Con, I see some costumes that *really* irritate me. For instance, I see a guy every year with a perfect Captain America costume, and he has a paunch! and *no* muscle tone whatsoever.
Captain America should *not* have a paunch.

well, my daily schedule up until about 3 p.m. is to wake up, do morning activities, go to the gym, have lunch, then hang out with my friends at the comic book store for about 2 to 3 hours while reading free comics...
Though, I agree with you on the captain america thing...my god, at least take off the paunch! O_o
