CoH Updater Error Message

Hey all, little curious about an issue I'm having...

As most of you have seen in the "vacation brags" thread, I've got a business trip to Greece starting Monday.

I tried installing CoH on my work laptop (Dell Latitude D600), but upon patching, I keep getting the following error message:

Ok so I bypassed the checksum and now have a full version of CoH on my laptop...but my newest issue....everything's all black! What's up with that?
I can't see anything but the little sidebar screens, nav, target, chat, etc....

I get the checksum error with every patch they do. Many people get it. I just go into my CoH folder, delete the checksum file and run the updater again. It re-does the checksum(takes a bit for me) and then I'm able to play again.

The black is from a ****ty videocard I think. It happens on my friend's computer, that's why he doesnt play.

Deleted checksum, got the patch right now, and updated my video drivers, IT had put some crap ass version of the ati 9000 drivers in so I wasn't getting full capabilities, now I'm working just fine, w00t!
