Who here is a fan of Games Workshop? I love it and have loved it since I was 8. I'm going to start an Inquisitorial army when the Alien Hunters Codex comes out. Daemon, Witch, and Alien Hunters. Gonna get a few Platoons of Imperial Guard. I'll help whoever can get this question right get started on Justice.

I'm a fan but haven't been able to keep track in a while so I'll guess the Ordo Malleus.

Ordo Xenos, because the others don't have anything to do with aliens

Adeptus Astartes is the Space Marines, isn't it? They deal with aliens all the time. Otherwise, I'd agree with your statement.
However, I never got into Inquisitor, so I couldn't say. Though I played 40K, I was more of a fan of Blood Bowl, myslef. Man, I would love to start up a league of that again... hey, would anyone here be interested in an PBeM Blood Bowl league?

I played a bit in college, although it was always with a friend's army - no patience for the painting them up.
I DO happen to have Dawn of War though... no painting, and you can light the units on fire again, and again...

Inquisitors? You should just send in the Sisters of Battle and be done with it. Next time, go with a Canoness. ;)

WAAAGH!!
old skewl Waagh... where the different orc clans actually meant something... back when just by nature of being Bad Moons your troopers could all carry heavy plasma cannons, cause they were so rich.... sure you only had an army half the size of the other guy... but that many heavy plasma cannons.. size doesn't matter...
or the evil sunz who all got a motorcycle
oh and when the space marines stats were all as follows
M 4
WS 3
BS 3
S 3
T 3
W 1
I 3
A 1
LD 6
(that's the real reason that chaos almost won the Horus Heresy... non chaos space marines sucked ass)

I bet you shelled out for Gorkamorka while it lasted. Didn't you, Maz? :D
(Not that I can talk; I still have the Necromunda core book, a ton of terrain and just about every Escher mini ever made, along with a few thugs and Mad Donna and such....)

yes, as a matter of fact, I did... and space hulk, tyranid attack, and necromunda... then i realised that games workshop was the devil (after they started releasing plastic kits for more than their old lead kits used to cost) they ended up as christmas presents for a friend who actually played still (except for the occasional mini that i had really painted)

Hey, Gorkamorka was an great game! :D
And I couldn't agree more with the whole Games Workshop = Teh Devil stuff. The price of their mini's is so outragous, it's not even worth it to contemplate getting back into it.

That's why I stopped playing Games Workshop too. "Oh, look! It's Warhammer 40k Third Edition! All that Second Edition crap you bought isn't any good anymore! It's done! Useless! A waste! But you love us so much that you'll be happy to buy everything all over again, right?"
I never liked their billing practices anyway. Two Imperial Guard miniatures of the same size and material, yet I have to pay 50% more for this one just because he's an officer in the game? Give be a friggin' break....
So now my Games Workshop minis just chill in their box, waiting to make an appearance in one of our roleplaying games. Considering that the only games I run right now are White Wolf's World of Darkness games, that isn't very often. And the ridiculous oversized weapons don't exactly add to their inter-game allure, either.... :grr:

Mine are chilling as well. I plan on converting as many of them into Blood Bowl teams when I we get a place big enough to allow me to work in my mini's away from the baby. The great thing abut BB is that the rules are free online in a PDF format, and the mini's I have already make all the teams I could ever play.

Only if Iteration X can lend a hand. Isn't that Culexus Assassin a colossal tech-head? :D
Come to think of it, I was using our Eversor Assassin to represent an NPC henchman, a borged-out Iteration X shock troop whose job was basically to tank for our player-run Technocracy amalgam. One time he took an M-60 rocket to the chest (base damage: 8 dice) during a Pentex raid and got back up...damaged pretty badly, but still functional with only a -2 Health Level penalty. And then he went toe-to-toe with the Black Spiral Dancer on the roof and halfway killed him before the rest of the amalgam finished the werewolf off. Talk about some serious dermal armor plating and a reinforced endoskeleton from Hell....

Now the Hive Primus Eschers versus the Sororitas Gunny Nuns is a football game I could get behind...especially with a Vindicare Assassin on referee duty. ;)
It was pretty fun using Necromunda minis to represent either the Frateris Militia or the Planetary Defense Force during our WH40k games at the local Fantasy Shop. Escher, Van Saar, Orlocks and Goliaths all hanging out on the same team, shoring up my Sisters of Battle and/or Imperial Guard armies. Because even a nasty Imperial army with big plasma guns has a use for gobs and gobs of expendable cannon fodder. >:]

I tried makeing a BB team out of Sister figures, but they are tough to convert (those guns are hard to cut off without cutting off other... er... needed bits). Plus, I'm not good a modeling with green stuff. I use it mostly for filler.
Now, Space Marines, they make excelent figs for converting into a BB team. :)
And, in case no one here has ever seen it...

Necromunda was a cool idea but I felt lukewarm about gameplay. I really dug my Delaque gang, but I'm glad I was able to convince my friend to buy all my Necromunda stuff for cheap. It was better than throwing it in a closet never to see the light of day again (like so much of my other stuff).

Necromunda was great because of the vertiga gameplay and not the standard "Army A faces Army B on a plain field without obstacles".
I also agree with the "GW = Devil", as they have contantly raised their prices (although I have to say that the quality of the minis has risen, too).
I started playing Fantasy (The Empire) with some friends, and then changed to 40k (Chaos Space Marines) with a quick incursion of necromunda (Escher *puurrrrrr*). Now, I hardly play anymore, but I buy one or two minis occasionally to paint them.
A 14-year old commited suicide yesterday, after he was attached for thievery of a Warhammer minature. After the policemen talked to his mother and left the building, the boy jumped from the 4th floor and died.
And all that for a piece of metal (or maybe plastic) worth 20$.
