Anyone know what might cause a computer's monitor to not come out of sleep/power saver mode on startup? Sorry if this is kind of vague; if you need more information, I'll try to get it. I'm just not exactly the best with computers. >_>;

We had this problem back in January. For some reason, the computer was sending a power saver command to the monitor. We shut off the computer and let is sit for 5 minutes, restarted, then tinkered with the power settings so that it would never enter sleep mode. Working fine ever since.

Thank you much Sally. Tried some different settings... hope it goes well.

I just got this problem yesterday. I've reached the point where the monitor doesn't even start up. I've changed the power save setting to never but it still happens. I've been looking for solutions, most including the having to pull out stuff which I am loathe to do. Does anyone have any other ideas? And I just checked, could it have anything to do with there being a ton of dust in the back?
(Grrr, I7 comes out and my computer decides to stop working :mad: )
